I give my friends, in downstate Illinois, grief for not voting in Illinois state-wide elections. However, I am enthused that they are starting to getting involved in local Tea Party/Conservative movements — if for nothing else but to at least find their voice again and realize you can never give up.

As far as McCaskill — what a shame she replaced Jim Talent — a real loss. I wonder if Michael J Fox is going to go off his meds again and create updated tv campaign ads for her in 2010? Wasn’t McCaskill supposed to usher in a new age of miracles through the embryonic stem cell research. . .if she was just elected?

She was elected by a far left push, in addition to the events surrounding election 2004 but has not gone far enough left to pls these supporters — with the right opposition/and insuring a proper voter balloting process — she could be very vulnerable.

As savvy and knowledgeable as you are — I am probably preaching to the choir. . .would be an accomplishment to participate in unseating her and putting in a Senator who actually cared about the people he/she represented. . .

We feel the same but we still do vote. We will be retiring to Missouri soon, looking forward to our votes being counted, that is, if St. Louis and KC are straightened out. Would love to help get rid of McCaskill.

One last comment on the lawsuit brought about to unseal the Ryan Divorce Papers. I believe you are right in the Axelrod behind-the-scenes-involvement with this shameful “judicial” decision.

The association with Axelrod. . .the suit was brought about by the Chicago Tribune/WLS-TV.

connect the dots. . . Axelrod once upon a time worked as lead political reporter for the Chicago Tribune . . .plus his City Hall job/associations with the big Chicago politicos. . .shameful episode of American politics and judicial travesty.

Maybe someone should have unsealed Ted Kennedy’s divorce papers or publicized Kennedy & Dodd shameful double-dates-sexcapades around DC and other geographical points. . .anyone still think politics is a societally-polite High Tea event ?. . .spend time participating in political campaigns.

The Chicago machine runs the state. . .(and an influence in Major Metro areas of Wisconsin, Indiana elections) as you probably well know.

Mark Kirk is ahead in pre-polls but will face stiff competition no matter who he runs against. Competition not with the other candidate. . but the vote manipulation. . .and Obama’s buddy looks like the current favorite dem Senatorial candidate –Alexi Giannoulias. . .

I plan on building a bunker in an undisclosed location and then write the book.

Your comment was a trip down memory lane for me, I’ve lived nw of Chicago since 1952. Was a campaign coordinator for Manzullo and we helped Salvi when he ran for Senate against Durbin. Had to bow out shortly after that because of surgery and never got back in but I remember well what they did to Jack Ryan. Shameful!

It has been said that it was Axelrod and a crooked judge that got Ryan’s records unsealed. There’s a lot of info at the Real Barack Obama site, it used to be Rezco Watch, you may be familiar, I think that’s where I may have seen it. Also Tom Roeser’s site is newsy and fun, he knows about lots of skeletons. Chicago’s antics are legendary and even though I’m not part of it, it’s embarassing.

Would love to read your book, get busy!

@Missy 23. . .yes, I can see your viewpoint very well. . .that fragile ego does have a lot to do with his decisions. However, don’t discount the Alinski rules — of manipulation of the masses. . .although with the sinking poll numbers, maybe he is realizing that he can no longer hide his agenda. I also agree with you that his internal numbers are probably much worse — in fact the outlier polls are finally caving as well.

As far as OBOWMA’s record in Illinois — you are dead-on. I lived in Chicago from 95 thru 05 and had a front row seat to Senator Present’s antics. I am well acquainted as I was a very active volunteer on Jack Ryan’s Campaign for US Senate. Jack Ryan was ahead in the polls and looked like a shoe-in against Obama. However, as we all remember, Ryan’s divorce records were unsealed (what privacy?) and smeared all over the news media — another Alinsky rule of clearing the playing field.

By the way. . .for posterity. . .I heard Obama debate Alan Keyes (replaced Ryan as R candidate for Senate) Keyes did not even come close in the election but in the run-up to voting, Keyes wiped the floor with O in their debates. I was even embarrassed for O.

I would love to write a book someday about the pre-president Obama and what I saw and heard while living in downtown Chicago (and not just about the rigged voting machines/ballots/precinct reporting and motto of vote earlier/vote often. . THERE’S A LOT MORE) . . .especially the 2004 campaign, election day, BO’s entrance into his Hyatt Hotel Victory Party. . .etc.

While O’ Bomba’s approval rating is dropping, I’m still left pondering a question. At this point with all that has transpired in the last few months, are these percentages of folks who still approve of what he’s doing actually live in this country? If they do live here, how many times a day are they smoking crack?

I could see that happening. IMHO, he would walk away rather than face the humiliation of defeat. Go back to the life he’s comfortable with in Chicago, make big bucks on the speaking circuit and all will be well, out of the fishbowl into an environment he can control. No more of the evil FOX News, Limbaugh, Hannity or Glenn Beck picking on him. Ayres will write another book for him whitewashing the four years.

That statement was made because he’s fretting about declining poll numbers and it’s blowing a hole in his fragile ego and damaging that thin skin. I’m guessing internal polling is worse than what Rassmussen is polling and economical forcasts and military advice that he’s looking at and the public isn’t privy to, isn’t boding well for him either. He knows it’s very likely his polling won’t be coming back up.

When he was in the Illinois State Senate, what accomplishments he ran for US Senate on were taken from others. Senate President, Emil Jones created his resume, he said he was going to make him a president. He took bills other senators had worked for years on and tacked Obama’s name on them.

At this level, even though he is still functioning off the backs of those he has appointed and Congress, he knows the blame is going to fall in his lap. He’s sitting there watching these people drive us off a cliff and he doesn’t have the courage or know how to stop it. He’ll slink away rather than face the mess in a re-election.

Another thing, he’s lazy.
