Dear qwuasi, trying to justify Obama’s diplomatic skills by saying there are only two choices: war and submission, is as pointless as a man looking for a corner in a silo to take a piss. A diplomatic statesman has the ability to analyze and apply pressure with superior intellect and coercion.

At one time we had a vast superiority because of our weaponry, now that Fearless Reader has decided to play the impotent appeaser, our advantages are being eroded.

Authoritarian governments will hate us because we represent an enemy on several fronts: we have freedom, we stand up to tyrants, and we represent power. What was once a position of power, is now a position of weakness and indecision. If someone doesn’t like you, ie Iran, you better make dang sure they respect you. Obama has turned the US from a formidable world power into a “Flower Child” version of its former self and the world is a far more dangerous place as a result of his gross incompetency.

Obama should practice his form of diplomacy from a position of weakness and supplication in some Third World cesspool of a country and see how long he would last. Marxist dictators have very little respect for weaker Marxists, Obama would be swept into the dustbin of history faster than his approval ratings drop into oblivion.

Please use your superior intellect and encourage Obama to become the leader of some third world country that hungers for Marxism. As a confidant you may be a colonel in no time and the two of you can explain the advantages of Marxism to the rest of the world, from a very real position of weakness.

You know you are in trouble when you are Democrat and are being criticized by French. Sadly, Sarkozy is not way off the mark. This President is proving to be a bigger failure than some of his rivals during primary/general election were claiming he would be. I don’t think it can be explained away by lack of experience. It can only be explained by unwillingness to surround himself with reasonable people. I can’t recall a US President in the past 30 years who had surrounded himself with as many unreasonable people as the current one.

To top it all, his surrogates call anyone who criticizes him a ‘racist’. They all claimed that Bush did not like being criticized. They are using the same tactics as previous administration to silence their critics.

He, I think, is happy enough to be the first non-caucasian President. He has a chance to be one of the best Presidents of this country (given the number of major challenges he is facing here at home) but he is more focussed on getting Olympics to Chicago (when he is not appearing on Letterman….which he does when he is not frisking off his wife to a much-publicised romantic night out). The man will go down as ‘all eloquence and no execution’.

Being a moderate, I can say that this administration has proved to me that lunatics on the left are far worse than fanatics on the right. Who is that czar who wants animals to have rights to sue people in a court of law? Obama is worse than Bush because Bush atleast knew how to get his agenda and policies (even the bad ones) through the Congress.

Oprah wanted a Black President and she got one. We all have to live with her choice for the next 3 years. When he is done, we all will be debating who was worse: Carter or Obama.
