We all have Glen Beck to thank for Acorn’s exposure of corruption. Thank you Glen. “Sic semper tyrannis”.

I don’t think the dems will do much. I don’t trust any investigation led by the Dems or this current administration. ACORN is “the one’s” baby and I don’t think much will be done. I hope I am wrong.

  5. @rivka: I think you are right Rivka. They’ll spend more time investigating the CIA whose only crime was keeping us safe.

    Mike,

I might have been right, as you already know I am sure by now, but Reid is blocking the ACORN investigation. I found this on Brietbart’s “Big Government” website: http://www.lvrj.com/opinion/reid-blocks-acorn-probe-61438132.html

Anyone who supports ACORN also supports the sexual slavery of teenage girls/boys. Reid has always been a weird little criminal so we now know his sexual habits. Maybe the people in Vegas will wake up and smell the roses (in Reids case the shi*) and throw his butt out of office and in jail.

They are hoping the public will forget. They will catch cold with this because even if it does not stay in the public’s mind, all it will take is one video at election time in 2010. The public will never accept this.

Of course, the other reason Reid won’t open up investigations is because all trails will lead directly back to Obama and the democrats. That is a given. I guarantee Holder will not investigate this either for the same reasons.

  9. @rivka: Thanks. I had not seen the Las Vegas Review Journal Editorial:

Notice how Reid refers to an investigation of ACORN as “distracting?” That’s the Dems new favorite word when there is something uncomfortable they don’t want to talk about. David Axelrod used the same word when dismissing calls for an end to the ban on health insurance competition across state lines. To him, the only competition should be with the government run plan.

Also, I found this link at the NRSCC site about Reid’s refusal to investigate ACORN:

Mike, thanks for the link. The Dems know their time is limited because a lot of them will be voted out in 2010 even without an ACORN probe, but if ACORN is investigated and government involvement comes to light then 2010 and 2012 will be a complete turnover to the Republicans.

In order to fulfill their desire for America to become a third world country, they are going to have to ram through health care, cap and tax and their socialist economic policies asap before the 2010 and 2012 elections. I think it is highly possible by 2012 the Republicans will take control.

ACORN has been the goose that lays the Dems’ golden eggs for about three decades. Holder won’t touch this, but the more it’s ignored the larger this political albatross becomes. An interesting conundrum that the ‘little people’ have no interest in forgetting. Thanks to Breitbart’s Big Government, Fox and the net.

I have extra supplies of popcorn set aside for the Dems’ upcoming paniked fire and boat drills.

    Jack.

Well, of late, the Dems have done everything they can to exclude the R’s……

  13. @Jack Deth: Don’t underestimate the Dems ability to sweep this or anything else embarrassing under the rug with the assistance of their “mainstream” media allies who have done everything they could to ignore this story.

Breitbart, blogs Fox Nes and Talk Radio only reach a fraction of the voting age population in this country.

I heard someone one the radio, Huckabee maybe I’m not sure. He was saying that the two ammendments voted on in congress to cut ACORN funding will never make to the president’s desk for a signature. The Senate provision was attached to a HUD bill while the House provision was attached to a student aid bill. Since these two bills are written by different committees there will be no reconciliation between these bills to add language to defund ACORN to a bill that makes it to the president for signature.

Has anyone else heard this? I’m not sure but he should know what he is talking about as to the process to get this to the president for a signature. Not that Obama would sign it on its own but if attached to the right bill he would have a harder time not signing it.

If Huckabee is right these votes were a total sham on the American public. I would also put forward that if this was a sham vote the Republicans were a part of it as I haven’t heard any of them bring this to light to the public.

  16. @Big Sky: There is the problem of reconciling these bills and yes, I wouldn’t put it past Dems to pull a fast one and say “See, we voted to defund ACORN” then not make sure the provision is in a final bill.

But now that this is such a public issue, our GOP leadership will keep highlighting it. They have been FOR YEARS but the pimp and ho tapes made it impossible for Dems to ignore. If Dems try and back out of the ACORN ban, we can run ads saying they didn’t do a damn thing to condemn child prostitution.
