Where have we heard this story before?
- A new President takes over
- The nation is possibly coming out of a recession
- Budget deficits, healthcare, energy, Social Security and tax reform are the extent of the debate in DC
- Al Queda has safe haven to plot and launch attacks from (Pakistan, Sudan, Somalia, and possibly Afghanistan-again)
- New President fails to fill all his administration positions during the transition and during his first 9 months
- National Security and the threat of terrorist attack is recognized, but no new strategy implemented (gotta do Cash for Clunkers first)
- Summer is ending
- President and his admin blame the previous administration for their woes and their shortcomings daily
- Press is no longer giving the President a warm and snuggly free pass
- CIA people are scared to death they might be brought up on charges if they do their job or lose their job if they present politically unsavory information
- Border patrol and customs lack leadership
- Al Queda Seeks to Attack United States
Barack Obama and the Democrats’ Congress are setting the stage for disaster. If Al Queda should succeed in another 911-level attack can you imagine the New 911 Commission? What will they say?
I’m not saying on 9/11/09 there’ll be another 911 attack. I’m just reminding everyone of the reality that
1) Al Queda is still trying to attack the U.S. on that day and every day
2) the lessons from the last attack have been lost on this Administration and the Democrats’ Congress
There is a third certainty-a political one. If Al Queda should succeed in one of their attacks over the next 3 1/2yrs, Republicans and independents will say of Obama and the Democrats’ Congress,
“It happened on their watch”
I’m afraid you’re right. It amazes me how little is being said if anything about an enemy that has allied itself with MS-13 gangs to gain entrance into the U.S. . I believe a “sucker punch” will come and it may be close to a knock out blow.
There have been “reports” and “rumors” that the next attack(s) will be a combination of primitive WMDs, Mumbai commando street fighting, cyber attacks, etc.
Maybe I’m a fear monger but I believe Obama was “picked” for appeasement so the progressives can concentrate on dismantling and transforming our nation into their image. Appease the enemy and they will leave us alone, they believe wrong. Nobody says it but I will. How did we elect a guy with a Muslim name while fighting with a Muslim enemy? Worse yet he has deep sympathies for said enemies. I could deal with a Muslim name if that person was pro-American but he is not. Far from it.
It’s always what isn’t talked about is what we should really be talking about. If TSHTF will all this talk of health care matter? Yes but in a much different way i.e. triage and mass casualties. Maybe this stocking up of guns and ammo was a gut feeling of something dreadful over the horizon.
And they’re talking about Cash for Refrigerators!
Unfortunately I think TSHTF is not far off.
Let’s see how our AF President responds. Probably take another sweet vacation.
Carter or Clinton. Each came into the presidency proclaiming a new world order. They sat around waffling on what to do, didn’t react to attacks or aggressive nations stances over seas. They each set about to curb the military and appease radicals. Both slapped the intelligence communities in the mouth if they didn’t tow the party line which lead to bad or no intellegence.
