One thing that would have helped would have been people donating older cars to the charities. However the Cash for Clunkers amount is much greater than the tax write-off, so fewer cars are being donated to charities. Less cash AND fewer cars donated. The President is oh-so-concerned about the poor, who are served by the charities, which don't have as much money.... Well, you get the idea.

Except of course Joe the plumber, regular people that need affordable cars, already struggling families that can't pay their electric bills (through cap and trade of course), adding more burden through an economic stimulus (that hasn't and won't happen), also lets add onto that health care reform.. May we all eat cake, if food is not abundant. I am surprised his first incentive wasn't to get rid of our guns. Cause' all that /is/ left to hold onto, is our guns and religion. Maybe the One was making a prediction, not an observation when he said that.
