PS – Looks to me like a fauxtoshop. Normal patrols don’t go around aiming their guns, and when they are aiming at something, it’s usually to kill it or at least be ready to, so it’s doubtful a couple of locals would be standing around calmly observing. “Oh, look, Fatima, Ahmed is about to shoot something. How exciting.” I don’t know if Hassan was caught faking photos, but others working for Reuters in the M.E. have. Whenever I see any of their stuff I automatically think “this could well be faked.” It’s their fault I don’t trust them.

I think Michael needs to disguise himself as an Arab and then wander through the streets of Iraq and see how nice the people there are. If he gets shot or captured then he can flash his press badge and hope they don’t cut his head off on the internet. Would that satisfy his curiosity?
