Only a bonafide, prozac suckin’ member of the O’faithful choir – those worshipping the quintessetial “false prophet” – could compare Hillary’s bad press during the primaries with the rampid cost incurred on the Alaskan taxpayer by this sleazy campaign to abuse the Alaskan Ethics Law procedural system in order to destroy a political career and bankrupt a family.

Sarah’s complaints are on behalf of all affected by the Palin attack machine that lets their neighbors fund their political agenda. But she’s no victim, as you insinuate. She’s dropping the shackles of political office, and will be coming out swinging. I suggest you stand in her path, Paul… we could use a bit more road kill to feed the birds of prey.

Back in September 2008, we saw her wagging her finger that Hillary Clinton, that Hillary should not whine about tough media coverage, she was not doing women any good, she should just plow through it, she should have known what she was getting into and should just try harder and prove herself. “WOW”, I guess she loves measuring others by standards that she does not follow. The dems see Sarah slipping out of the trap they set for her and must do something…anything to stop her. I did not donate to this fund to have it used for another purpose. If it is found that she is not allowed to pay her legal fees with it I will demand a refund so as to send Sarah a personal check for the same amount. I find it offensive that a public officeal is required to pay out of her/his own pocket for trivial, untruthful, political and spiteful ethics charges made against her/him. If they keep this up, no one competent will want to go into poiitics except the people who are alreay crooks (i.e. democrats). Perhaps that is their goal.

Well, Ms. Sue, I’d say you already did! LOL Actually, Sweetness is using the same story I used … with the changed headline. And I left out the Perkins-Coie political affiliation since Curt covered that in the post just before this one.

I wanted to leave the subject this post devoted mostly to the scrutiny of the actual “confidential” report that Chatman released unethically to the media. Only by reading it all do you get the gist of what Daniel was really saying… and that is the max he could find of probable cause was that Sarah okayed the start up of the legal defense fund and the use of her picture. And oh yes… she has a friendship and history with the trustee. Whoopdedooo, eh?

As you can see by his recommendations, he suggests she just doesn’t take the money (had she already taken it, it may be a different story), lets the taxpayers reimburse her instead, and tells the legislature they need to change these laws about this frivolous complaints and unnecessary expenses.

But truthfully, I find no particular bias in his findings. He has to be thorough, and I prefer he is. Otherwise people like Andree Mcleod would use that to again claim the system in “in the pocket” of Palin.
