(1) Mount windmills directly in the Oval Office, White House Press Room, and both Congressional Chambers, (also in the studios and newsrooms of the MSM,) to transform all the worthless hot air into clean energy.

(2) Use all those Stimulus-Bill-created “ready shovels” to feed all the generated BS (from those places listed in #1,) into manure burning power-plants.

(3) Turn off all the power and heat in all Federal/State Government Legislative and Executive offices. Just think of how much that would save.

I was all onboard until I read that Gates’ plan runs on Vista.

I have not yet sought a patten on this but we could use gigantic electric generating windmills to power giant fans that could just blow the big, bad hurricane out to sea. Hurricane force winds would provide the juice to run the fans and then when the hurricane was out of the way the fans would crank the windmills which would continue to turn the windmills and Shazam – we’ve got perpetual, clean energy!

Yippee! Carbon credits for everyone!

Of course this will never happen because we all know that the giant solar energy conglomerates will just buy the patten and keep it under wraps to benefit their own plans of world domination.

My back-up plan is a sea water powered floating school bus. The prototype, the Seabus Nagin, will be ready for trials about the same time we get New Orleans raised above sea level.

Yours won’t work either. There is no way you can negate the heat-energy of a hurricane with what you propose. Calculate the caloric-load of a hurricane…trillions of megajoules…PLUS countering the energy the sun is still imparting on that same body of water.
You will need to match (or come close) over a short 2 or 3-day period to what it puts out, and that number exceeds what the whole country presently uses.

Windmills, no matter the size, no matter how many, can’t do that. Plus you need to keep the pumps cool. (Compressing water heats it, and the machine doing the compressing/pumping, so putting them near the sea- floor is a better place.)

Floating nuke-plants connected to giant pumps, maybe…But it would still take hundreds, if not thousands to invert the water-layer, and you would still need enough capacity to cool off the nukes, the pumps, the sun, AND the water feeding the storm.

-So thousands of nuke/generator-barges developing billions of megajoules of power to operate umbilically-hung super-pumps, sucking water up giant hoses into a system of atomizers letting the physics of evaporation help you cool the surrounding air as well as the water… might get you from a class 5 to a class 4. I can do the math to get closer, but not tonight.

(And you’ll still need to shut up all the enviroweenies, and get somebody to pay for it all. J)

The same kind of thing goes for the dirty snow trick. You don’t have enough soot to cover what’s needed to negate the heat-energy of the sun, AND counteract the heat-absorption numbers of a blackbody-surface. The math on this proposal has too many variables to get anywhere close to a realistic answer for how much, but I doubt it will be enough.

-If Gates and company think they can overcome the pressure of water at the bottom of the sea, with the pressure at the bottom of a big tub hundreds of feet ABOVE the bottom of said sea, he’s in for a big letdown, and should get back to Seattle and fix Vista cuz it sucks….and/or go take a refresher course on basic grade-school physics.
