Skipping your progressive talking point BS about how innocent you believe your liberal/progressive Euro-socialist representatives in Congress are, you’ll first note that this post is about the overall effect of the spending on the economy. So spare me your pile o’manure that says “the GOP ruined the economy, jobs, the environment” since – despite their spending over the past 8 years (of which Iraq/Afghanistan was only 4.5% of the entire GDP), it’s a drop in the bucket to what your representatives have done in the span of six months… that would be triple the deficit of the previous year – all under a Dem controlled Congress – in an unprecedented short time.

Your whining about spending has no street cred.

Since you are unable to read between the lines, the “solution” is not to bankrupt the nation by turning it into a social welfare state with a dollar that won’t be worth toilet tissue, inflation, and debt our grandchildren cannot possibly pay off with the earning capacity sliced down with the taxes proposed.

But since your “reading between the lines” is obviously not a forte, I’ll spell it out for you.

Cap and trade? Nix, nada… absolutely shouldn’t be even a glint in the eyes of Congress. We can’t afford to spend money our grandchildren have never made, and never will under the national debt we are creating, for energy that no one will be able to afford… no matter how warm and fuzzy it makes you feel. We have gas, oil, coal and shale resources. They should be exploited with new cleaner technology, and it will create more jobs than Obama’s “green and remade” America.

Health care? We know that path is a financial dead end… no, make that flushing the nation’s community chest down the toilet. Been there, done that… and bankrupt in the span of three years. If Congress and Obama are so history deficient as to not example the Euro experiments in socialized medicine, they could at least look to the program used as the model for this, and see it’s quick failure.

Any health care reform should start first with eliminating the waste of lawsuits, new alliances to allow individuals and small business should be able to be formed so they can have access to group plans that are more affordable, Congress should be encouraging prescription drug competition, not voting it down, and the middle man HMOs driving up costs need to be kicked to the curb.

Not one iota of federal spending should even be considered until the waste of funds is cut. Then we can see what can be done to further improve the reduction of health care. After all, when your car breaks down, do you first look to see what can be repaired before? Or do you just toss it out and go buy a new one, spending considerably more than necessary?

Last, every bit of health care reform should be done thru private enterprise, and not thru the federal government. As even the Eunuch in Chief Community Organizer says, he should sign no bill that adds to the debt. That means no government programs. Simple as that. As has been proven already, Obama and Congress lie thru their teeth on the costs, and the CBO plus various think tanks have shown their numbers are nothing more than fantasy.

i almost didn’t read this because i assumed that it was just going to be more attack attack attack with no suggestions on how to improve the ecomony, create jobs, slow/reverse climate change, solve healthcare, etc. that I’ve been seeing all over the web but figured I’d give it one more shot and boy was I disappointed. Not 1 suggestion in this giant post. Just complaints, whining, lies, fuzzy numbers, attacks and right wing bs. Look guys, you had 8 years to turn this country around and you completely blew it. Now you’ve been voted out and it’s the other team’s turn to drive. It’s not been 6 months and this is the crap you post. Talk to me in 2016 and see if you’re still singing the same tune because if you are then Obama and the Dems will be out anyways and it will be your turn to try ineffective tax breaks, reduced capital gains, tax loopholes for the rich, environmental destruction, isolation from the rest of the war, more idiotic wars, global warming up the ying yang, and extremist non-populist views on religion, abortion, guns, big business, etc.
The GOP ruined the economy, jobs, the environment, and pretty much everything else they touched over the past 8 years, give us a chance to spend a little up front to build the infrastructure for a cleantech economy that will pull our country out of this mess you created and we’ll see who comes out on top. But it’s going to take more than 6 months and 15% (the amount spent so far) of the stimulus money to climb out of the hole you put us in.
Until then, try being a part of the solution instead of just dragging your feet and bitching while we do all the work to save our asses.

The public made very clear in the last few elections that they are fed-up with the bipartisan bickering. The far left demagogues are acting so imperialistically in their leadership, that even stanch Democrats are taken aback.

The voters want the parties to work together. It is very possible that the Republicans may win back control of the Senate, through the public’s perceived need to reign in an fascist-like Obama-Far-left Washington Machine. Considering also the heavy-handed way Pelosi’s far-left legislative/commitee crowd is shutting out both “Blue-Dog” Democrat & Republican input, coupled with their “hurry-up and pass it unread” mentality. I propose that Democratic control of the House could be lost as well.

Should that happen, expect Obama to try to make sweeping changes through other routes (Executive Department Orders and Presidential Directives, etc.).

I’ve been thinking that all this destruction might be on purpose, but never thought how fast his puppet-masters and the rest of the Fascist-Democrat wing of the party, would overwhelm the few remaining Demos and fellow-citisens with a half an ounce of American left in them. Up to now it seemed unstoppable, but I see the end of both Crap and Tax, and the Kill the Weak bills.

Team Shitcago reads the polls too, and they know they have till the end of this month to get these POS bills signed by the Narcissist in Chief….and they don’t have the votes.

The sheeple in the middle 50% have begun to stir, and I hold out hope that they remember how to get their collective “Eye of Soron” re-lit, and focus it on where they’ve been fooled into looking away from for the past year. The Tea Party’s are going to give people the mental “out” they need to “unplug” their brains from the Machine that tells them lies, because they are not about one party or person. Thus they can convince themselves that they can be against the DEMOCRATS, but still like Obama over Bush.

We’ve already seen our first Quitter from his admin. Hilly has been put into a closet. Spokespuppetts and the media (oh wait…) have begun to show the lies and “misstatements”.
Unemployment is still growing, prices are rising, Interest rate are climbing, and even here in the Belly of the Beast (SF Bay Area), I see and hear more and more disenchantment with Him.

Thar be engineers in sprinkled about these parts, and they LIKE math.

(A whole other essay could be written about another of the Alinski/Previn pranks of convincing the middle 50% NOT to vote at all, because of the difficulty in “herding” them, and keeping them under their spell, and they did the Black community. They want that unpredictable 50% to stay stupid via the public school system, and to stay home cuz: “It don’t matter if I vote.”)

If truly Conservative people take control of the Senate in 0-10, this admin will implode.

As a free Australian, my heart reaches out to my fellow free Americans, seeing your great country being torn apart by traitors and, I believe, by foreign interests.
Anyone else wondering how this was all ready and waiting to go; how all these bills the pea-brained Pelosi and minions(my God, the thought that such a cretin as Pelosi might have minions is just incredible. How was she ever elected to a position of responsibilty beyond… well, beyond getting out of bed in the morning?) have been preparing, and are being rushed through Congress, were all ready, written and waiting?

Navazr, the cut off comment section is usually a mark of an old IE browser version (like 6?) My similar problems went away when I installed IE 7, and I’m avoiding IE 8 because work required software still has bugs with it. So you might want to check your browser version.

Incredibly well written and well thought out post you’ve got here Mataharley. My co-workers and I have been discussing the “total” effect of all of this ridiculous spending and social engineering for weeks and weeks.

We don’t understand why more people either refuse to look at the big picture, or are just plain unaware of it.

Great job researching and putting into words the exact thing we’ve been discussing!
