Donations to SarahPAC are going strong, as her popularity spreads. Sarah Palin will soon be free to go after America’s enemies in government and the media. She’s just warming up on Obama, and she could lead the charge against the Beltway crowd of both parties in the 2010 elections. Sarah has the power to rock D.C. Recall them All. That’s my mantra for Congress.

Yes, Toothfairy. The result is some may leave office, and some make stick it out and let the taxpayers pay for the abuse of the system. It’s a one on one decision, and since I knew Palin would always be under assault, I think what she did for the Alaskan citizens was the right decision. Her admin would always be distracted, fending off the assault and running up the bills.

Sarah will be fine, and all will work out just fine. In the meantime, I will continue to expose those that are advancing a political agenda at the taxpayers expense. This should be a bipartisan outcry. But, as usual, if people don’t like a “target”, they’ll support anything to get to the end result. It is a human flaw.

Mata, I agree that corrupt politicians’ feet should be held to the fire and that ordinary citizens, not just wealthy ones, should be able to “have recourse against what they see as corruption in government.” But if elected officials have no recourse against “BS ethics complaints” the result will be that these officials, like Sarah, will be driven out of office by the jackals and their minions. How is this a good thing? I understand that Sarah, as a private citizen can countersue. The problem I have is that she has to leave public office to effectively defend herself without bankrupting her family by incurring a massive personal debt. This means that only those with “personal means” will be able to run for and retain public office. We have enough trouble getting good people to run for office as it is.

I still believe that the citizens of Alaska can find a solution to this mess. It might not help Sarah, but it could prevent the same thing from happening in the future.

Toothfairy, it’s been suggested by some bloggers (no government officials) about putting in a charge. It has also been dissed as impractical, as it essentially allows only those with available means to have recourse against what they see as corruption in government. I agree.

There’s a similar discussion between Gaffa and myself, on the Alinsky Pt IV thread…. comments #22 and 22. He felt that if the system *could* be, as you put it, “gamed”, then it must be flawed. My response?

The failure of the system is due to humans and subversive misdeeds and agenda. As long as humans inhabit the planet, this is a risk… just as laws do not stop criminals from committing crimes. Media and new age communicies (i.e. blogs, Twitter, FB) are perfect tools to turn the Alinsky tactics back onto those who abuse systems and incur costs to the rest of the citizens. The “4th estate” is meant for exactly that purpose. Problem is, the traditional media is bound by favors and lack of ethics… and because of their own political beliefs, which diminish their ethics, do not do the job tasked to their profession.

The recourse of an elected official against BS ethics complaints in the system is none. However the recourse of a private citizen against BS ethics complainat filed thru the court system is counter suits.

Sarah has effectively removed herself from a forced “victim” status (i.e. one under assault incapable of fighting back) to a “target” status. (a target being the object of the assault, with no reference to their ability/inability of launching a successful counter defense)

Saw this yesterday at AT, written by a Berkeley psychotherapist. She calls this bunch in Alaska sadists, I would add ignorant, selfish, foolish, envious, lacking dignity….. a real sorry clan of misfits.

They want to destroy her because they fear she could derail this farce of a train Engineer Obama is driving. Not to worry idiots, he’s taking this country over a cliff anyway.

I look around each day and ask myself the same question, “Where are the human beings?” I see fewer and fewer each day. But there’s a shining example in Alaska of a woman who maintained her integrity in the midst of cruelty that would have crushed many of us; who never descended to the level of the thugs; and who exits the scene with something that the sadists will never have, not even in their dreams — her humanity.

I can understand their fear of losing Obama due to Sarah running against him in 2012 and standing up against his poor policy on increasing tax’s , cutting military expense, destroying our health care, and on and on.

Pay if you lose would be good, but they have funding coming in from other sources so it wouldn’t hurt them too badly.
Getting some of the good Alaska folks involved to change the law and get rid of some of their states leftislators would be even better.
Having some of the Republican type legislaters start “Palinizing” the dems, much like they’ve done to Palin, would be great. Let them start footing the bill for their legal defense.

Thanks for the info, Mata. Since this is a citizen system, the citizens of Alaska might want to rethink the “no charge” aspect, especially for those who are obviously gaming the system.

This isn’t civil or criminal court, Toothfairy. This is a citizen system that allows an Alaska constituent to file a complaint against an elected official for no charge. The costs come with the State Personnel Board having to hire investigators. Palin can choose to have, or not, a personal attorney at her own expense. She keeps Thomas around now regularly, since the assaults fly thru the door like fleas in summertime.

Since all these costs (save any Palin option for an attorney) is all State government expenses, it’s the reason I call this series Alinksy Perfected… the Palin assault squad nots only run a political agenda campaign to destroy her reputation on the national stage, they do so on the taxpayers’ dime.
