  1. One giant belch likely emitting more CO2 into the atmosphere than all the cars on earth do in one year!

Tut, tut, Mike. There you go again. What did you learn from your time at the EPA?

FANTASTIC photo, though. Thanks for that.

  2. @openid.aol.com/runnswim: Larry, perhaps you should read that sentence AGAIN, then check the material you provided. Did I mention anything about a decade?

You’re going to start playing fast and loose with time frames on an order of magnitude and you want to lecture me?

    I don’t think so.

Besides, no one really knows how much CO2 a volcano puts out. There is no reliable measurement for that. All your link does is guess.

I’ll stack my time and experience at EPA up against your environmental experience any day of the week.

They also put out a lot of ash, sulfur, hydrogen and oxygen.

Actually it’s sulfur dioxide EPA-boy, and it would act to cool global temperatures. Mike probably only learned how to fudge facts. It’s what most people on both sides of the climate change debate regularly do.

Waht it proves is that no matter how much you try and regulate emissions, the earth has the final say and will do as it pleases, whenever it pleases.

  7. @Fit fit: You saying there is no CO2 in a volcano nit wit? And whoever said there wasn’t any sulfur dioxide or that it didn’t have a negative impact on warming?

Good grief! How many straw men can you erect in two sentences. That must be a new record.

Maybe They can tax us for each volcano that erupts. Whatever that stuff is, it can’t be good…..

    What an odd counterargument.

“I’m not ignorant, I’m just omitting”

or fudging which is what I accused you (and those for the existance of man made climate change) of doing. Nothing wrong with continuing to question the science, I just think honesty makes for better arguements.

If you had any honesty you might have a better argument.

    Snappy, but baseless.

  12. @Fit fit: Perhaps you should spend more time trying to document your claims with valid and objective sources than thinking of quick come backs.

Quick, but not funny or intelligent.

“One giant belch likely emitting more CO2 into the atmosphere than all the cars on earth do in one year!”

Which is only half as much as obama puts out in one of his speeches.
