    Nope, because the masses get their information from our democrat-controlled media. He will not get blamed for anything that goes wrong. It’s going to take a whole lot of grass root effort to get Obama’s mistakes pinned on him.

    One of the first orders of business passed by the One and the obamunists in the 111th CONgress was to ban domestic exploration and production.. The One and his co-conspirators are diluting the dollar so much that that real oil prices can remain steady or decline, but our costs will go up because of the value of our dollar is being wrung out. I figure we’ll long for the “good old days” when we were paying $5.00 per gallon. Like electricity, it will “necessarily skyrocket.” By the time there finished with us Winston, there’ll be nothing left of us but sorrow for what we’ve done; And, love for Big Brother. It’s so touching to see our love for Big brother.

    The communists that have taken over our country have more respect for those that hate us, than the people that elected them.

    Will Obama pay any political price for presiding over another price spike as Democrats continue to block access to American energy and think up new energy taxes?

    Absolutely not.

    Oh come on folks. We all know the REAL reason that oil is going up.
    It is because we’re in Iraq for the oil! And we all know that Obama did not pull the troops out as he said pre-election. And we know he is just continuing Bush’s oil policies and lining his pockets.

    *Sarcasm off*

    I am really afraid for our country.

    Does a bear sh_t in the portapotty?

    Does a Libtard respect brown people?

    Does Chrissy get a tingle up his leg when he sees M. Malkin?

    Too many Libs think that we need gas prices at 5.00 a gallon or more to force us to “go green”. This is what they want. They will truely hope it goes higher. It was only used against Bush because they wanted him gone.

    Anybody think the price spike is related to Obama Motors’ clown cars? That is one way to force people to buy those tin cans on wheels the government wants to mandate.

  10. @herman: The correct question is: How long will it take Obama to top it?

    Isn’t it amazing how silent the MSM has been during the recent runaway increase in gas prices. Probably just an oversight, huh?

    Oh, that’s the “correct” question, Mike? I’d didn’t know you were a prophet.

    If you want to forsake speculation and know how gas prices look to the public simply goggle search ‘skyrocket’ and ‘gas prices’ and you will find Bush tied at the pump and public’s attention.

    Otherwise, all the rest is your own petroleum speculation.

  13. The more important question is: “Where is the Democrat plan to fix it?”

    Nancy Pelosi promised a plan leading into the 2006 election….where is it?

    Exit question:

    What have gas prices done since the Democrats gained control of Congress in 2006?

    …”correct question”, “more important question”, or just another way to evade the subject of Mike’s post, where did gas prices really skyrocket: Obama, or more accurately, under Bush.

  16. @herman: I’m confused Herman….. Are gas prices NOW not substantially higher than when Obama took office?

    If Bush is responsible for seemingly nothing after the Democrats took control of Congress (at least nothing negative) and that he didn’t preside or have control as a leader apparently for the last 2 years of his presidency – does that mean that any Democrat leader in history can also wave his responsibility when Republican were in control of congress? So effectively the Clinton years lasts two years and anything happened after mid 1994 is not his fault? Or does this conveniently only work one way? Just wonderin’….

  18. @GaffaUK: You want to attach some specifics to that Gaffa?

    I certainly would NOT agree that Clinton was blameless for national security screw ups which are directly the responsiblity of the President and not Congress.

    Remember that the MSM also ran interference for Bill Clinton. They will find some way to blame Republicans or George Bush

    How about the sub-prime mortgage fiasco that was allowed to develop over the last 15 years?

  21. @GaffaUK: Clinton designed legislation that made the sub prime fiasco possible. Bush brought forward several reform packages long before the crisis and Dems in Congress shot them down. See the numerous posts I have on the subject for details.

    If the Republicans controlled Congress from 1994 to 2006 – 12 years then how can the Dem shoot it down if the Republicans can simply out vote and ensure the housing bubble didn’t happen?

    If Republicans were in control how can the Dems in Congress shoot them down. Can’t the Republicans just out vote them?

    @GaffaUK:

    The Republicans never had a super, filibuster proof, Senate majority. They also suffered with Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, Arlen Specter and Hagel, all Democrats in Republican clothing that constantly weakened the Republican’s slim majority.

    @Mike

    Can you point to the specific thread? I like to see the hard evidence (in terms of votes and procedures where Dems killed reform) rather than who said what.

    @Missy
    Did the Dems have a super, filibuster proof, senate majority when the price of Gasoline spiked to twice the cost that it is now last year? And is it the case that Dems persuade some Republicans to vote with them but the Republicans can’t do this with wayward Dems?

    @GaffaUK:

    Little more to it, the Senate is supposed to slow down, ponder, if you will, what comes through the House, vote on the issue and eventually sit down with members of the House and reconcile, combine the two bills into one. Amendments are added prior to reconciliation, some succeed, some are stricken, many have nothing to do with the law being enacted.

    Inregards to gas prices, it was Pelosi’s/Dems campaign promise to lower gas prices. Instead, they knocked off any new drilling off the coasts even though the moratorium is no longer in effect and cut drilling acreage within the western states. We have operational capped wells off the coast of California that would help trim some of that states $25 billion deficit. See where the dems are going?

    Persuading Repubs, that’s what I was getting at in my other response. Democrats did not fare so well during the stimulus vote, especially in the House. We still had the three in the Senate that went with the dems. Snowe, Collins and Specter.
