President Barack Obama suggested that Iran may have some right to nuclear energy _ provided it proves by the end of the year that its aspirations are peaceful.
In a BBC interview broadcast Tuesday, he also restated plans to pursue direct diplomacy with Tehran to encourage it set aside any ambitions for nuclear weapons it might harbor.
Iran has insisted its nuclear program is aimed at generating electricity. But the U.S. and other Western governments accuse Tehran of seeking atomic weapons.
“What I do believe is that Iran has legitimate energy concerns, legitimate aspirations,” Obama said, adding that the international community also “has a very real interest” in preventing a nuclear arms race.
The president has indicated a willingness to seek deeper international sanctions against Tehran if it does not respond positively to U.S. attempts to open negotiations on its nuclear program. Obama has said Tehran has until the end of the year to show it wants to engage with Washington.
Well, there you have it. We all remember how well it worked out when Clinton caved to North Korea don’t we? The guy has caved, as we thought and now it’s Israel standing alone once again. He promises peace whenever he can and in it’s wake all we are going to be left with is utter disaster.
Iran is a sponsor of terrorism, that is a KNOWN. Iran also uses surrogates, non-Nation States, (Hezbolah, Hamas) and Nation States, (Syria, Venezuela, maybe Kenya and others) to carry out it’s wishes. Iran is a proliferator of nuclear activities. Why is it that they deserve an extended hand?
Obama’s a spinelss jellyfish of a man who’s going to bring this country to it’s knees before it over.
How exactly is Iran going to prove that “by the end of the year that its aspirations are peaceful”? Not wipe Israel off the map until 1/1/10?

Yes president Obama, as you see over here, those huge missile looking things are actually huge silos for holding grain for our Iranian people. We just stick radiation signs on them so people will not try and break into them. They will just think they are nuclear missiles. And over here are planes that hold smaller grain silos for our Iranian people. We plan on dropping a grain silo on Israel to help feed their people.

You don’t think GE invested all this time and money getting him elected if he wasn’t willing to sell us all out do you?
This is an admission from Obama that he can’t do dick about Iran and that one ought not expect him to accomplish anything.
It is capitulation.
Hey Obama! What about your own country? The US has a legitimate need for nuclear power.
