I was in the crowd photographing Roesgen during the Chicago Tea Party and the crowd was very respectful, even giving her room to work in a very crowded public space until she first interviewed the guy with a sign containing an image of Obama as Hitler and she then disrupted an interviewee’s response to her own question. Her further suggestion that the gentleman in question be happy with the fact that $50 billion will go to “the Land of Lincoln” to be spent by the New Rod Blagojevich, Pat Quinn is laighable. we all know we need to pay taxes for basic services, we just don’t want the bullshit spending. it is very apparent from the clips i have seen that this reporter has an agenda of her own. she was acting like a shrill obama supporter who must defend at all costs because that is how she has been programmed. by the by, my spell check still thinks obama should be osama. interesting…

Derisively amusing how she points out comparisons of Obama to the anti-Christ with disgust yet saw nothing to be indignant about in regards to similar comparisons when it was about Bush:

back in 2006, when she was covering protests against the Bush administration’s response to Katrina, she jokingly referred to this photo of a man wearing a mask with devil horns and a Hitler mustache as a Bush “look-alike.”

Didn’t 90% of Americans just get a tax cut?
Not liking what the Government is spending the money on is something that spans the history of taxation itself.

Not to say this type of movement will have no effect, when enough people were protesting against the Vietnam war, many protest events, including the shooting of students at Kent State University who were protesting, certainly played it’s part in shaping the outcome of the war.

The Tea Party protesters were a well behaved and civil bunch from the looks of things. Time will tell if this all translates to the ballot box.
