That'll bring UBL to the US in an orange jumpsuit while keeping Pakistan from falling to the Al Queda militant network. Oh yeah.

ISLAMABAD: Washington will not put any conditions on its aid to Islamabad, but will recommend tools to measure its effectiveness, US Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman John Kerry said on Monday.

Addressing a press conference with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi after a series of important meetings with top Pakistani officials, Kerry promised that his country’s long-term ties with Pakistan would not be defined by response to extremism militancy, but by its focus on the welfare of Pakistani people.

He said he would introduce the bill for $1.5 billion annual aid to Pakistan over the next 10 years in the Senate after he returns to the US.

I am for spending the time and effort to cultivate another country, but (forgive me if I missed it somewhere) what exactly does Pakistan propose to do? I will have to read a bit more about this, but I have yet to see what their proposal is in specifics. Fighting al qaeda and allowing the US to actively engage the bad guys ought ot somehow be worked into this deal. Open ended stuff hasn't been tremendously successful - maybe Flopping Aces could expound on this to a greater extent. Thanks.
