What can one say? We were provided with the two worst choices in history for POTUS and 52% chose the worst (as momma would say, ‘he’s feeble minded’) of the worst. Add the anti-american, or totally stupid, leadership of congress and now we pay. A hundred years from now they will still be trying to figure out how so many stupid people gathered in one place in 2009.

Obama? A failure? My goodness, how did I not see that coming? Oh wait, I did. That’s why I didn’t vote for him.

I’m sure McCain would’ve made mistakes, too, if he were in the White House instead. On the other hand, I doubt he would’ve made the same bone-headed mistakes Obama has or would’ve shown such contempt for his own country.

Is any of this really a surprise? The big surprise is that this idiot and his family ever made it into the White House in the first place….Well, this is what the majority wanted and now we’re ALL getting it! What were the people who elected him thinking? Thanks for sending us all down the river….

    How about this one?

France Unmoved By Obama Nuclear Speech: Leaked Memo

PARIS (AFP)–France said Friday it had begun to reduce its own arsenal long before U.S. President Barack Obama called for a “world without nuclear weapons,” as a leaked memo showed Paris unimpressed by his speech.

According to the daily Le Figaro, President Nicolas Sarkozy’s foreign policy advisers were dismissive of Obama’s call for an end to the arms race, which he made to a cheering crowd of supporters in Prague on Sunday.

In a memo for the president, the team said U.S. nuclear policy had moved on little from the era of Obama’s predecessor George W. Bush and that the speech was the “export version, designed to burnish the image of the U.S. abroad.”

According to a leaked version of the text, cited by the paper, Sarkozy’s advisers noted that while France had halted nuclear testing in 1996, the U.S. Senate has thus far held up Washington’s approval of a test ban treaty.

They also criticized delays in U.S. strategic disarmament talks with Russia and said Obama’s ideas to reinforce non-proliferation measures – such as the creation of global nuclear fuel bank – had been kicking around for a while.

“Let’s leave the theology to one side and work seriously on disarmament,” the memo said, dismissing Obama’s optimistic rhetoric, according to Le Figaro.

Foreign ministry spokesman Eric Chevallier would not address the leaked memo directly, but in a lengthy response to reporters made it clear France had not waited for Obama’s speech before taking disarmament seriously.

“France was the first country to sign and ratify the test ban treaty and the only officially nuclear-armed state to have dismantled its test centers,” Chevallier said, in response to questions on the French memo.

“We’re the only state to have precisely confirmed its number of warheads. We have dismantled our plants for making weapons-grade fissile material…and we’ve reduced our force posture,” he added.

France also poured cold water on the idea that disarmament measures by declared nuclear powers would aid nonproliferation work by persuading rogue states and terrorist groups to drop their own weapons programs.

“We don’t believe there’s a link between disarmament and the proliferation question,” the spokesman said.

France has an estimated 300 nuclear weapons, a much smaller arsenal than Russia or the U.S., but more than the other declared and presumed nuclear powers, China, Britain, Israel, Pakistan, India and North Korea.

Sarkozy pledged last year to cut back France’s nuclear stockpile, but remains committed to retaining an independent deterrent based on four ballistic missile submarines and several dozen jet fighter-bombers.

Right now I can’t think of anyone more undeserving to live in the USA, much less be president of the U.S. than president pantywaist / bammy / president pansy-ass / gasbag in chief ( and a few nicknames unrepeatable here).
    He’s a lethal, toxic imposter.

I can’t even imagine Biden stooping to what the gasbag in chief did in europe…even though Biden is a lying windbag.

  7. Can you still use “Obama” and “Monkey” in the same sentence without being branded racist?

  8. @Aye Chihuahua: The “monkey” reference was qualified by the addition of “surrender.”

Besides, Brits aren’t held to the same P.C. standard regarding Obama. Unless of course if Obama was a Muslim and since he said he’s not that should settle it.

Funny, what I’ve seen Obama’s trip was wildly successful and repaired relations. Too bad the negative-neocons have to stick pins into everything even only after two months in office.

  10. There is something very unhealthy going on with this man. I simply refuse to
    call him “my president”..!!

Watch the pirate siutation unfold; i bet his backbone and American prestige
    will melt before our eyes.

Look two years out for Republicans to retake congress and attempt to
straighten out some of this mess.

Remember, who got him elected; the hard left, liberal press and progressives…!!

    A Patriot…

  11. @liberaldude: Perhaps you could list examples of where Obie “repaired relations.”

Aside from the stylistic points there was NOTHING of substance to this trip.

  12. Another review to add. This one from Toronto:

    We still can’t read Obama
    REX MURPHY
    Globe and Mail

…With Mr. Obama, the difficulty is that every performance seems like every other one. He may be talking about bailing out the auto companies, extending a welcoming word to the Muslim world or arguing for a new American health-care regime. His emotional register on all these topics is the same.

His set speeches have a peculiar detached quality about them, a touch of the professional actor’s proud ability to find all the right tones and gestures regardless of the quality or content of a given script. They don’t so much convince as impress. They beguile rather than reveal. They are dazzlingly – it’s almost a paradox – competent.

Of the many speeches Mr. Obama has made, which one has said to you this is him? This is the irreducible, essential Barack Obama – this is why he’s in politics. You will find it a frustrating challenge: His statements blur into one another, no one speech distinguished by the authentic charge of words spoken from the deepest part of himself.

What summons the central energies of this new President? What ideas prevail in his view of himself and the world? It’s an interesting question to be asking in the middle of a devastating financial collapse and with some of the world’s great rogue states pressing for nuclear capacity. After all the speeches he has given, as campaigner and as President, we still do not have a grounded reading of the man in the most powerful office on an anxious planet.

  14. @sigmundringeck: Believe me. There are many millions of Americans who are embarrassed that this man is their president. The only good thing about an Obama-Biden Administration is that it makes Bush-Cheney look brilliant by comparison.

Obama has given many supposedly good speeches, but can anyone recall even a single quotable statement by him? I mean of the “Tear down that wall” and “Ask not what you can do for your country”… His rhetoric aspires to the profound but is merely fatuous platitudes. His speeches are neither profound nor memorable.

AT HIS BEST, HE IS SAYING NOTHING. And when Obama actually says something, when you deconstruct it, it turns out to be either dishonest political pandering or dangerous leftwing elitism. I mean “clinging to God and guns” hits home, but it was an elitist insult to small-town America.

I conclude that the leftwing Obama puts so much NOTHING in his reading-from-TOTUS speeches and fills it with verbal cotton candy because he doesnt want to tell us what he really thinks.

Amen to that! Once again, many of us saw through the smokescreen and tried to warn others but too many were hooked on the hope and change kool aid.

But sooner or later (looks like it may be sooner) the wheels of this bus are coming off and Americans will see Obama for what he really is: a man who lied about who and what he really is to get into office.

I am not embarrassed by Obama. Maybe a little for him, but he got himself into this. I didn’t vote for him. Our President he is but it was over my objections. In Europe Obama performed exactly as poorly as I expected him to do. Hi is little more than a party “rock-star who parrots what others have written for him to say. That;s hi he needs all these czars. He is clueless and hopes that all the appointees around him will tell him what to do. That’s why he is screwed without the teleprompters to give him the guidance. Once the stress level really cranks up he’s going to crack. It’s already showing in so many ways how incompetent he is in foreign affairs.
