I love these videos, they hook me in. I almost posted this to one of Mike’s posts Saturday but I kept following the links to the other videos and then I had to go shopping. Would be nice to experience one of these events, they are wonderful. Did you check out the video where they show all the backgroung planning?

Just found this to share, off topic, but…..

The venue looks familiar. Was it the train station in Brussels?

  5. Further proof that there’s never a cop around when you need one. I would toss all those anarchists in jail.

    Now, how about a classic?

  6. It’s very sad that Julie Andrews lost her ability to sing.

My Fair Lady — opposite Rex Harrison
    Camelot — opposite Richard Burton
    Mary Poppins
    The Sound of Music

I can’t think of anyone who had a run of such great, successful musicals.

She’s still only 73, but can’t sing anymore.

OR are they both right same story just written different? Why some things matter.

Actually I think he jumped because he thought someone was taking a shot at him. I’m sure he’s well aware that there are people who want to assassinate him.

  10. @openid.aol.com: What a shame some doctor botched Julie Andrews Surgery:

I guess some Physicians aren’t as smart as they think they are.

  11. I didn’t know the story behind how Julie lost her voice. Thanks, Mike. You are right about Physicians; a lot of us aren’t nearly as smart as we think we are, but that’s just the human condition.

  14. @openid.aol.com/runnswim: Obviously you haven’t learned a thing.

Ice melts in spring Larry…. Didn’t they teach you that in Medical School>?

Aside from your obviously biased agenda based headlines, there is little to suggest that the trends we are seeing have ANYTHING TO DO WITH MAN’S ACTIVITY.

Oh… and have you seen a report yet from the Southern Hemisphere?

Last years report must have disturbed you greatly:

MORE ICE than ever before. Do me a favor and look up this year’s report.

But do your patients a favor and don’t stay up until 2 AM trying to prove me wrong again.

You should have learned that lesson by now.

  15. Not so fast, Mike.

    http://arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/IMAGES/current.area.south.jpg

I have no idea what that chart of yours is purporting to show and where it comes from. My data (which appear to contradict yours) are referenced.

This reminds me of when you tried to convince us that the atmospheric CO2 levels were not increasing by quoting the data of some obscure European crackpot professor. True enough, I had to stay up until 2 AM, but I did, indeed, prove you wrong on that.

As for ice melting in the summer, you didn’t read the article, apparently. That wasn’t at all what it’s about.

The satellite data released by NASA and the National Snow and Ice Data Center show that the maximum extent of the 2008-2009 winter sea ice cover was the fifth-lowest since researchers began collecting such information 30 years ago. The past six years have produced the six lowest maximums in that record, and the new data show that the percentage of older, thicker and more persistent ice shrank to its lowest level ever, at just 9.8 percent of the winter ice cover.

Difficult to see how an antarctic volcanic eruption would melt the ice at the opposite pole.
