The average worker gets about $400 in tax rebate. The average savings in AMT is $2,300. I’m pretty sure ATM tax breaks aren’t part of the Democratic Party platform. 70 Billion dollars is a more than just a token gesture.

Money given to those who don’t pay taxes are NOT “tax credits”.

Nor are they “tax cuts.”

You can cite the AMT if you like, but the vast majority of what is being passed off as a tax cut is actually welfare.

I don’t think he intended to be bipartisan at all, just went through the motions to claim he tried for publicity.

John Lott was asked by FOX News to run the numbers to determine what the cost of everything coming at us will be per taxpayer. They were doing a segment on it throughout yesterday and he also published his figures in an op-ed, “Gov’t Spending, is it worth $62,200 to you?”

It’s kinda hard to believe that Democrats would put in 36% in tax cuts, including 70 BILLION for alternate miniumum tax breaks into a bill on their own.
