Been a while since I have posted here. Been a busy year so far, but another reason I have not posted is that, unlike the truly dedicated conservatives here, I find myself demoralized by the continuing events in which the country has given the Democrats free ‘reign’ to do as they please. It appears that is exactly what is happening on the grandest scale seen to man. We have a spending bill, er, ‘stimulus’ bill approaching 1 trillion dollars of which it has been explained by conservatives that about 25% would qualify as a ‘stimulus’, and the approximately 75% remaining is simply pork garbage on a surreal scale not even the most jaded politicians could ever hope to bite into. The ‘newspeak’ of Obama is already well on its way.
With such figures of colossal magnitude will someone please tell me just How that figure was arrived at? Do any of these cretins in Washington have any real understanding of what even one billion dollars entails? We were told that we would have to absolutely scrape to pay for the war in Iraq, now the politicians are putting out a spending bill in excess of Both the war in Afghanistan and Iraq combined. No, none of these ‘representatives’ or ‘senators’ has any grasp, the 1 trillion is simply a ‘figure’ that once approved gives those presently in power carte blanche to hold onto that power as tightly as possible in the succeeding years.
Where is this money going to come from? We have the specter of social security and medicare/medicade ready to hit the skids in a few years creating a further ‘crisis’ that is apparently going to blindside this country as did the present banking and economic crisis. That is to say, if another crisis doesn’t hit us first. ‘Blindsiding’ of the present crisis is probably the wrong term to use as I suspect that there were plenty in the Democratic party who knew exactly when this would happen and pulled the strings to make it so. This was the nail in the coffin of the McCain campaign.
But again, where is this money going to come from? From the simple click of a computer key magically putting this money into the economy or what? Raising taxes, no doubt. Look at taxes, for instance. Look at Joe the Plumber out there struggling to make his date with April 15, kicking in (with a little screaming) his ‘fair share’. Cannot one just feel the frustration and resentment that he, you, everyone, and I feels when we see such monstrous take-a-way then give-a way of our livelihood by Washington fat-cats under the guise that they ‘can make things better for us?’ “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.” Old Karl is spinning in his grave with happiness.
We, this country, deserve exactly what it is getting and going to get. Apparently the decided majority of the electorate woke up on Election Day and made the decision that they are socialists exactly like the government and voted accordingly. I hope those that stayed home are hit twice as hard by the present crisis. Notwithstanding, this election, was a historical turning point, not only that we elected a mulatto/muslim as president, with no surety that he was even born in this country, but also that in wholly ignoring his past policies, and his various promises, and what they entailed, has sent us over the top and into what appears as a screaming downslide.
Nothing to do but watch it happen. We are in a minority, boys and girls, and with the billions being given to the Democrats, you can bet that the next election we will be even more in the minority as the Democrats buy up, and add onto, their voting bloc.
Truly historical. Democrats are truly in the drivers seat and the spineless Republicans will capitulate, just watch.
Well, Marion… what you speak of is apocolypse times. And just so you know, Live and Let Die is an Ian Fleming 2nd book written in 1954, and didn’t come to the cinema until 1973. Naturally it is on TV today because of it’s age. However not watching “TV” is no excuse for knowing the Fleming villian was planning on releasing free heroin into the US in order to achieve his global control/mastermind goals. If you enjoy a “good book”, then I highly recommend the Fleming novels for entertaining reads.
Many libertarian conspiracy theories, BTW, are rooted in older sci-fi novels.
And it’s all good to visualize “future events”. But then again, remember that via other visuals, we were in the George Jetson era by now.
BTW, a Salvation Army will never be out of business as long as there is a human left willing to give of themselves. A stellar organization. And even in the apocolypse, there will always be some with “something” to give.

Yes sir. Mata Hari, the Dutch quintessential femme fatale, was convicted of espionage and accused of being a double agent working with the Germans. However a later book about Margaretha Zelle’s life by American academic Pat Shipman makes that case that she may not have been guilty and was, in fact betrayed.
I, however, have always been intrigued by “intrigue”. So being a political research junkie, combined with being scooter trash, I adopted this handle quite some years back. Add to that I have been known in the past to sneak into the “enemy’s camp” for a peek…. :0)
Of course, it doesn’t help that there’s some Euro porn star that uses the same in some D- films…. LOL
