Thanks for that post out of Nebraska Old Trooper; as one who spent his childhood living there, it brings me a small sense of pride to see that Cornhusker wisdom stands in the face of the insanity that seems pervasive out here on the west coast.
So, in just the first week of BHO’s presidency we’re finding out that the “post-racial” nation is simply a figment of campaign rhetoric. Yeah, I think I want the bridges built by unskilled labor to have signs on them; I’ll be adjusting my driving route accordingly, thank you very much. Well, with these programs coming out so early, hopefully the American people will be good and sick of them by the time November 2012 rolls around. Even liberal white guilt has to have its limits, or am I giving them too much credit?

No surprises here. Obama was openly an affirmative action campaigner, and will be an affirmative action POTUS. Perhaps it’s just as well he embarks on his “black first, American second” agenda on day one and two. This stuff will not play well for most Americans… including many that are black. I suspect Ward Connerly’s eyes are rolling by now.

Judge upholds affirmative action ban
WORLD-HERALD STAFF AND WIRE REPORTS

LINCOLN — A judge today upheld Nebraska’s ban on affirmative action, ruling that a petition drive to place the issue on the ballot was legal.

Voters approved the initiative in November, after opponents of the effort filed a lawsuit in Lancaster County District Court.

The constitutional amendment never uses the words “affirmative action.’’ But it prohibits state and local governments from giving preferential treatment to people on the basis of race, sex, ethnicity or national origin.

The lawsuit challenged the validity of petition signatures, saying some were gathered using a “pattern of fraud and illegality.’’

But Judge Karen Flowers rejected the arguments, writing that the right to the initiative process “should not be circumscribed by a narrow and strict interpretation of the statutes pertaining to its exercise.’’

Lets see how it holds up through the appeals process. All that celebrate the end of Racism should celebrate the decision. US Constitution, 14th Amendment. Equal Protection Under the Law for All. The Race Card is no longer legit in Nebraska. No more quotas based on skin color.

To prove he actually believes what he says Reich merely needs to spend the remainder of his life unemployed so any job he’s qualified for can be held by someone who is racially acceptable. He and his fellow whites should also sit at the back of the bus and stay away from lunch counters meant for the racially superior. Maybe he could also draft a letter to the KKK telling them that in so many ways he agrees with them except for a shift in emphasis. Lacking all that he should take his racist foolishness and STFU.
