Good to know that there are still some educated citizens in the States that did not get fooled by the ex-Prince of Chicago who fraudulently became King of the new Empire of Zombies.

  6. Craig: Someone came up with the clever name:

    Post-Barackalyptic Wasteland.

    Think apocalypse for the translation.

President Bush will be shown as a great president in time….he is a good honest man that did the best he could for America in spite of everything the Democrats and pinko’s could throw in his way.

President Bush, Thank you for all your sacrifice and dedication. I stood in honor and respect, as the live broadcast showed a marine helicopter (Marine One) transport you for the last time away from the White House. Thank you and God Bless!

I think he’s the most sincere and hardworking President since Reagan, and I will miss him and Laura. I feel alot less safe now that they no longer are in charge. And sad to see them go.

Thank you for all you did to protect us, Mr. President, and God bless you and your family.

  10. President and Mrs. Bush. You were our Governor and First lady here in Texas, and our President and First Lady in Washington, D.C. We are honored. You did Texas proud! Our best wishes to you in your retirement. Thank you for keeping us safe! Welcome Home!

The only thing I hold against him is illegal immigration. It should have been stopped.

To many Americans have suffered because of this scum.

As I watched Special Air Mission 28000 take off for Texas…I suddenly felt less safe. Thank You President Bush. Always my President too.

  13. @Rick007:

I didn’t blog this last year but perhaps I should. The Border Fence approved by Congress has been mostly completed:

    http://www.cbp.gov/linkhandler/cgov/newsroom/highlights/fence_map.ctt/fence_map.pdf

And of course Bush did a better job of workplace enforcement in the past two years.

That is likely to come to an end with Obama.

If conservatives were upset with Bush’s immigration policy they are going to hate Obama’s.

President Bush had not been my President but he became my President. The contrast of dignity and grace between George and Laura Bush as opposed to the Obamas is huge. The hideous, vulgar display at one of the parties of his friends, the thuggish hip hop rappers JayZ and the other one, speaks volumes about the crude, crass culture of this illegitimate poseur. His socialist agenda scares me to death…along with his Civilian Defense Corp.

President Bush did keep us safe from another attack and personally I don’t much care how. He did make mistakes but I believe he is correct that history will be kinder. Had he been more articulate I don’t think he’d have had half of his problems with the general public. Now that Obama can’t depend on his teleprompter when he has to communicate, he may well be exposed as less than a “brilliant” speaker himself.

The other issue i wish President Bush had handled better is the commutation of the sentences of Agents Ramos and Compean. They should have been given full pardons and immediate release. Tonight on Lou Dobbs I heard that the Mexican government may have interfered in influencing either President Bush directly or the DOJ. If so, I hope it opens the door to their being given a pardon based on misconduct of the prosecutors. I am happy though that they are going home soon.

We need the National Guard on our Southern border. They could use some in Salinas as well. Six gang murders and 5 others wounded just this month. It looks like Obama will be a disaster on illegal immigration.

  16. Ann: Many of us would also have liked to see Ramos and Compean fully pardoned just as we never thought they should be prosecuted.

But Bush’s way in this matter as throughout his presidency was to show respect for the process of government and justice.

He should have fully pardoned Scooter Libby too but his view is that the verdicts were the result of a fair judicial process.

Notice we didn’t have any stories about the selling of pardons like we did under Clinton who issued 140 at the last moments to many dubious and unworthy characters.

    Mike,

And this is the man who Democrats/liberal critics accused with great hysteria of seizing unprecedented presidential power and authority, who wanted to rule like a dictator.

You’ll love this photo essay from Time magazine, Mike. By way of The Anchoress.
