C’mon people! We have elected a bi-racial man as president of the United States. It is time to really let your hair down and celebrate like its 1974!

Wow, is that every sophomoric.
Agreed, we have empowered an immature Senator to successfully win the Presidency and filled Congress with a bunch of incompetent and sophomoric politicians.
We have golf carts on Hilton Head that are bigger than that.
Those poor hampsters!!!! Someone needs to call PETA.
that is awesome, they are even smaller than those stupid smart cars. hell i would hate to get in a wreck in a smart car. thanks for sharing, it made me laugh after a long day.
Detroit should go back to making those massive 4×4 tanks so people can go to Wal-Mart in absolute comfort and security- and let the Japanese continue to lead the way in smaller, more efficient cars. ‘Cos that strategy really worked;)
Yeah, nothing like the three wheeler for transporting the kiddies, plus gear, back and forth from soccer practice. Very practical indeed.
Oh, wait..this is the kid free version. Why have kids? The president elect understands they are simply punishment and the euros want everyone sterilized in order to protect the environment. Do you know how much of a carbon footprint a child has on the planet.
Hmmm why go for a family wagon when you can have a Hummer!
The H4 is da bomb! It is good to have choices.
Unless you are a liberal with no sex life currently or in the future, I’d skip the three wheeler.
Choices – like whether to go off road or not. Hmmm I wonder actually how many of those trips are off-road? Or how many of those who live in cities and have 4×4 – have EVER been off road?
Still if it apparently increases your sex life to gas guzzle and empty your pocket then sure…
Gaffa: You ever tried to take your date to the drive-in in one of those lawn mowers?
What kind of car do you drive anyway? Do you even own one?
Do you know what kind of snows we get here in North America? When I was younger I used to work in a hospital in Northern Ohio and if it wasn’t for 4×4′s the hospital would have had no nurses or doctors. My father, who delivered babies, once had to get to the hospital on snowshows because the old station wagon couldn’t handle the drifts.
I love it when you socialists and central planners (oops…redundant again) try and determine a one size fits all car or apartment or whatever. You always end up screwing everybody in your zeal to save the planet, save the whales or save your political power.
Oh, but you have good intentions don’t you?
Give me that good old time religion over that neomarxist clap trap anyday. There’s no salvation in socialism.
@Mike
I did drive a 2nd hand Ford Focus Estate in the UK. Sold that when I moved here and now I have a 2nd hand Ford Falcon Wagon – an american owned company/australian built. Works for driving around with the wife, kids and dogs. I could of bought a hybrid but it was notably cheaper to buy the 6v Falcon.
I don’t believe in one size car fits all. I don’t want a crappy Trabant thanks. You can mock the small cars – but if people want to economise then smaller cars can make sense especially around the city. 4×4 makes sense for farmers etc. And I doubt the majority of doctors and nurses in most areas of the US have 4x4s. I reckon the main motivation is getting a BIG car for the sake of it or security. But I don’t think you need a tank like car for security and doesn’t really help the other occupants of the car it may smash into – or pedestrians.
I just think the other end of the market – those who buy Hummers can be equally mocked.
What car do you drive?
My husband bought his GMC 4X4 truck in 2000, it now has over 350,000 miles on it. He used to get rid of his trucks every 80,000 miles, but he loves this one and has decided to keep it until it’s ready for the bone pile. It gets between 12 and 15 miles per gallon, but it pulls the hay wagons out of the fields and hauls his steel with no problems.
A couple of years ago he bought a Buick LeSabre to drive when the gas prices went up and uses it when the roads are decent. He gets 31-33 mpgs with it, pretty good for not being a small car, I probably do better with it because I don’t speed. I usually drive the smaller 4X4′s because I have back problems and it’s easier to slide in and out of them, had a couple of Amigos in the past and the last one was a Kia Sportage. I liked the Kia but hubby hated it, it only got 22 mpgs and he recently, happily gave it to our granddaughter, now we are searching for another small, used 4X4 for me. I will only be driving for 2-3 years at the most and we are shopping for comfort, mileage isn’t one of our concerns.
I would love to be able to drive a small car, but it’s too hard for me to drop down in and then crawl out of them, same with that Buick with that heavy door I have to push open and drag myself out of. So, here’s a couple of more reasons why people use the gas hogs.
