Eric Zorn has fallen into the same pit the dem leadership has, Obama, Reid, legislators from Illinois. If they would have accepted the Burris appointment it would not have become the circus it is now. They shot their mouths of early in the game and they don’t want egg on their faces. Another thing eating away at them is the 2012 election, heh, heh.

Burris is a dem generic candidate, nothing notable about him and I doubt he would be re-elected if his appointment goes through, heh, heh. He ran against Blago, Obama and Daley and still maintains a decent relationship with all three. He meets the qualifications of a US Senator and he’s not corrupt, the problem is his own party. Illinois House dems were side-tracked by both of the Madigan’s grandstanding, drug their feet on impeachment, publicly committed to thwart anyone Blago chooses for the seat, nixed a special election, in the meantime Blago out foxed them. Welcome to leadership the big -D way.

Electing Obama brought national attention to Ill politics, good thing the whole country now knows that it’s the democrats that caused this mess and it’s the democrats that aren’t showing themselves to be capable of handling it, from the top down.
