Flopping Aces Feed

A few days ago Google transitioned the Flopping Aces feed from Feedburner to their feed service since they now own Feedburner. Well, its screwed royally and you can’t even find the feed so until I find out how to fix it I put the feed up through Feedblitz also. You can sign up below or on the sidebar:

Google finds new and interesting ways to screw things up. And then pretends like it never happened.

I don’t trust Google. I found this comment from a blogger on texasdarlin:

“Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt was Obama’s economic advisory committee, and he also assumed the role of chairman of the influential New America Foundation early this year.

Although Google didn’t donate money as a company, Schmidt wrote a personal check of $1 million, and financed a good portion of the foundation’s $12.9 million annual budget.

“This terrifies Microsoft,” said a Democratic lobbyist familiar with the industry. “There’s a reason why people are scared to death of Google.”

“Beyond the perennial antitrust battles, Google has a host of other issues pending in Washington, from broadband access and net neutrality to privacy rights to patent reform and copyright policy.”

The story is that Google abandoned negotiations with Yahoo for an advertising partnership after the government threatened them with an anti-trust suit. Google and Yahoo combined would have controlled more 90 percent of the U.S. search advertising market and as a result, Google could gradually increase advertising prices and exert more control over the flow of e-commerce.

  3. I use Bloglines for my feed reader and have the Flopping Aces http://www.floppingaces.net/?feed=rdf as the feed URL and haven’t missed a single post.

I am not at all happy with the Google censorship going on, so I stay away from Google for searches and use Dogpile, which does include Google, but will pick up sites that Google thinks are bad for me, whether I want them to or not, especially after reading this.

Thank You Sara, et al, for your search wisdom and hints. Since the Conservative Blog Network RSS was sacked last week, I’ve been seeking better method to stay connected with vital resources as this. I should have known! Before CBN blew, there was this odor… Thanks for the enlightenment on better alternatives. Like going to the source!
