All this Recession, Deep Recession, and Depression talk has me nostalgic

Maybe it’s ’cause the inevitable result of Pres-elect Obama’s long list of campaign promises, the HOPE and the expectation of CHANGE now have to face a reality…a reality that soon Obama and the Democrats’ Congress will be sworn in, and the American people will no longer be content with words promising hope and change. They will want action, deeds, not just words.

(btw, no, it’s not crack or pot, or bourbon. It’s Theraflu that brought this saucy sentiment to you.

The American people won’t want deeds, or actions or words, if the One tells them they don’t want such things. They will just want the One to say, just look at me, I am the CHANGE, now be happy and vote for me in 2012.
And they will. As Obama sayeth, so it shall be done.

Another fitting song, We’ll Keep The Peace by The Beeps.

The anti-Keynesians like me (the extreme savers which are frowned upon in the Keynesian model) are having a field day since we have the money and the prices are lower. It’s the people that use credit that are getting bashed.

Fortunately for the Democrats, the Republicans have lowered the bar so low that the Democrats are not going to have to do much to be the preferred party. And for the first time the Republicans in Congress now have posted a lower approval rating than even Bush http://www.gallup.com/poll/113449/Republicans-Congress-Less-Popular-Than-Bush.aspx
how low can that be ? only 25% of Americans approve of the Republicans in Congress –Bush is leading them at 29%

That would be because there are Republicans in Congress, but few to no conservatives, John Ryan. They have become virtually undistinguishable from the Democrats.

You like to think 37% approve of Democrats in Congress. I prefer to view the glass more accurately. 63% think they’re idiots too.

And overall, 20% is the Congressional approval rating… or by my standards, 80% of the nation (or in reality, 80% of the 1008 Americans who answered the phone that evening…) think they are all a pile of manure. Put me in that category.

John, ignoring the fact that the dems have been in charge for the past 2 years? Ignoring how many people didn’t know that and therefore blamed the GOP who they thought was in charge? Biiiiig surprise.

John, the dems will prove themselves to be limbo grandmasters. It’s going to be a trainwreck.

The only person who didn’t know that was Palin – she couldn’t see it from her backyard…

Probably too busy looking at the Russian bombers flying over her house (something they don’t do in Delaware).

I think for too many people it would be a preexisting condition.

If I get the disability forms and put that down….can I get some volunteers to co-sign and corroborate that is IS a pre-existing condition of mine? Wonder how much disability pays for stupidity? I did vote for Clinton-TWICE. Isn’t that proof enough?
