Ah yes, the “Audacity Of Hope” indeed. I’d love to hit this list items by item, but you know how wordy my posts get when I’m on a roll. LOL. Let’s look at a few of the Obama false promises:

I’ll invest in early-childhood education.

I’ll recruit an army of new teachers, and pay them higher salaries and give them more support.

Early-childhood education like teaching toddlers about sex education and how to be a radical activist?

So you’ll what? Double our number of teachers AND pay them all more? That means more Federal government unfunded mandates dumped upon state economies. The states would have to build twice the number of schools and would have to increase state income taxes and hidden taxes to fund all this. This would require an increase of state education budgets by at least 400%. In the middle of a recession? Are you insane? And who will pay for all this? The 95% of the people you say you’ll cut taxes on, as you’ve already tapped out the rich to give the lower classes free checks. Doesn’t pass the logic test now does it?

I will rebuild our military to meet future conflicts.

But I will also renew the tough, direct diplomacy that can prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and curb Russian aggression.

I will build new partnerships to defeat the threats of the 21st century: terrorism and nuclear proliferation; poverty and genocide; climate change and disease.

Barry, you can’t rebuild the military to meet future conflicts by reducing their budget by 25% and putting the nix on all new weapons systems that allow them to do their job better, smarter, and safer. You would have killed budgets for the Predator and radio-controlled robotic technologies.

Talk is cheap, and alone is a waste of time and does nothing to curb countries from developing nuclear technology or invading other countries if they desire. You have to use “tough love” diplomacy like sanctions to keep them in line and be prepared to back it up with military action.

By NEW partnerships, you are obviously not refering to our NATO allies, but to the U.N.. Including your naive support for spreading America’s wealth to fight Global Poverty. Sounds noble, but historically it doesn’t work. The money you would send would not go to feed, clothe, and house the poor. Rogue governments take that money and spend it on weapons and corruption to keep their people poor and their power strong. If you recall, during the Carter administration we tried shipping goods directly to foriegn ports and that didn’t work either. The Governments seized the shipments and kept them for their own supporters, resold them on black markets, or to other countries for a profit. Perhaps you forgot the Sally Struther’s debacles. That’s why America airdrops food, medicine, clothes, and necessities instead of sending money.

In fact there are fundamental problems with every one of Obama’s proposals that he seems to ignore. He only knows how to be a community agitator and never actually bothers with learning anything about how things really work. Perhaps he might have learned something if he wasn’t so busy politicing to hone his oratory skills or voting present all these years or been in such a rush to be president. He’s done nothing, because he knows nothing. And this is supposed to be our country’s best hope?

3 different personalities (add in the Clintons, the DNC leaders, the DLC leaders, the whips, the caucus leaders, and the far left nutjob masses), and I just don’t see a lot of people coming together. I see a lot of individuals wanting things THEIR way, but blocked by the icy cold bath of reality: they checkbook is empty, and at the map’s edge it says, “Here there be monsters” for a reason.
