    Thanks Mike. A whole season of campaigning, feels like a couple seasons when it comes to Obama, all of it roled up into one little ad. Love it.

    Good vid, upbeat, not an attack, nice, short sweet and simple. But I don’t think it’s a vote swinger.

    Craig;
    Thanks for pointing that out. As a Canadian I’m sure you are aware; Throughout the Cold War, our military bases in Alaska and Iceland were the primary intercepter corridors for USSR Mig fighters, Bear bombers, submarines, and ships testing the defenses of both our countries. Alaska also had to content with the Chinese. “I can see Russia from my house” was a Palin joke and it went right over the media’s heads. Of course she couldn’t tell them much more in a national interview. Since the fall of the Iron Curtain such forays are infrequent, but they still occur. And the Alaskan Air National Gaurd under Palin is an important link in our mutual first lines of defense and no other state’s Governor has had so important a role in this. She was saddled with the responsibility of calling the shot if asked whether to fire upon a potential enemy. And would have been answerable to the rest of this nation. And the job would have required “foreign” diplomacy with the neighboring Canadian government. The media does her a great disservice by downplaying and ridiculing her Commander in Chief role over the National Gaurd in her state. None of the other three candidates has shared this responsbility or experience. Even governor’s Clinton, Carter, or Reagan wouldn’t have had as CinC experience before they took office. Although granted, Reagan did have a similarly large coastline to protect.
