Words of Wisdom from Unexpected Sources

“There is a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.”
-Madeleine Albright,
Former Secretary of State and Ambassador to the U.N, on the side of a Starbucks coffee cup

I first came across this quote at Pondering Penguins, cited in a Christopher Hitchens article (see my post on the history of political mudslinging). I’ve thought about using it on a post regarding Madeleine Albright and Senator Palin. Especially right after reading Albright’s Palin-Biden debate analysis.

Today, Marie’s Two Cents encountered someone “folksy”; a certain someone with a wink that launched a thousand lipsticks. Go discover who, and then congratulate Marie on her good day. She had quite the adventure.

Um, most women would say Palin is the one not supporting other women – Roe v Wade, equal pay, etc. But it’s nice to see we agree on her deserved place in the afterlife…

Wow… From the “we must respect Americans with different points of view” Fit Fit moron… Lies and canned idocy. Roe v Wade does not support women, it is a judicial “law” which kills unborn children… oopss.. “mistakes” according to Obama.. Yet the left calls Soldiers like me “babykillers”.

Fit wants Palin to go to Hell. Not surprised as that is what the left calls “tolerance”.

Your red armband is waiting at the Obama CNSF recruiting and indoctrination center Fit.

Mugsy is looking in a mirror again. Another insane projectionist. Brainwashed and braindead usless idiot sums up what Mugsy is.

I am sure that if we looked at Mugsy’s web history, we will see marching orders from the true national socialist hate monger clearing house: Obama’s website.

    There’s the Anti-God “The Way I See It” #247:

“Why in moments of crisis do we ask God for strength and help? As cognitive beings, why would we ask something that may well be a figment of our imaginations for guidance? Why not search inside ourselves for the power to overcome? After all, we are strong enough to cause most of the catastrophes we need to endure.” — Bill Schell, a Starbucks customer from London, Ontario

And another Anti-God “The Way I See It” #230:

Heaven is totally overrated. It seems boring. Clouds, listening to people play the harp. It should be somewhere you can’t wait to go, like a luxury hotel. Maybe blue skies and soft music were enough to keep people in line in the 17th century, but Heaven has to step it up a bit. They’re basically getting by because they only have to be better than Hell. — Joel Stein, columnist for the Los Angeles Times.

How-about the “Embrace Death!: “The Way I See It” #251

Our greatest prejudice is against death. It spans age, gender and race. We spend immeasurable amounts of energy fighting an event that will eventually triumph. Though it is noble not to give in easily, the most alive people I’ve ever met are those who embrace their death. They love, laugh and live more fully. — Andy Webster Hospice Chaplain in Plymouth, Michigan

Another feminist “The Way I See It” #256

Women’s bodies are valued as ornaments. Men’s bodies are valued as instruments. — Gloria Steinem

The Air-America “The Way I See It” #239

It takes two seconds to tell the truth and it costs nothing. A lie takes time and it costs everything. — Randi Rhodes

    —————

Then, there’s the this-should-get-a-rise-out-of-Charles-at-LGF “The Way I See It” #127:

The morality of the 21st century will depend on how we respond to this simple but profound question: Does every human life have equal moral value simply and merely because it is human? Answer yes, and we have a chance of achieving universal human rights. Answer no, and it means that we are merely another animal in the forest. — Wesley Smith, senior fellow with the Discovery Institute

Global Warming “The Way I See It” #289

So-called “global warming” is just a secret ploy by wacko tree-huggers to make America energy independent, clean out air and water, improve the fuel efficiency of our vehicles, kick-start 21st-century industries, and make our cities safer and more livable. Don’t let them get away with it — Chip Giller, founder grist.org where environmentally minded people gather online

Or, the Pro-Homosexuality “The Way I See It” #43:

“My only regret about being gay is that I repressed it for so long. I surrendered my youth to the people I feared when I could have been out there loving someone. Don’t make that mistake yourself. Life’s too damn short.” — Armistead Maupin

There seems to be a pattern here….

I haven’t supported elitist Starbucks since they shunned the troops. Being a Joe Six-Pack, it’s Dunkin’ Donuts for me and people like Sarah!

@Fit fit: I’m a woman and I oppose Roe v. Wade. In fact, there are a lot of “feminist” ideals that I’m against based on the fact that they’re just stupid. Does that make me a woman-hater as well, Fit?

It seems Mike’s America won’t let me know any peace, until I address the following:

This caught my eye when reading Marie’s post: “I took off in my thongs ”

I have one question: Wordsmith, did you give her your Flopping Aces thongs?

Well…she said she got blisters, so they couldn’t possibly have been FA thongs; besides, Curt never sent me my pair. How’re yours working out for you?

    @wordsmith:

Thanks for posting this Wordsmith. I love reading through all the comments on the Hillary blogs. Reminds me of what it was like to be a Democrat way back when. Would love to have those times back when the parties didn’t hate.
