1. Ask softball questions to Joe and tough ones to Sarah.
2. Inform the Democrats on the questions prior to the debate.
3. Ask follow-up “gotcha” questions to Sarah.

What on earth do you think a moderator does, anyhow? A debate moderator in this day and age doesn’t have the leeway to do anything damaging to either candidate. What do you think Ifill is going to do, anyway? Jump up and shout, “OH, SNAP!” every time she thinks Obama has made a telling point?
