If Obama picke him to compensate for his own lack of experience, I think he is in for a huge surprise. If the two of them get into a one on one conversation they will talk each other to death. All in all I think it is a good pick though. They complement each other, an empty suit and an empty head. It will be fun watching the Republicans turn Biden's many stupid statements against him.
