When will some street cop pick up a law book and say, well how about that, ‘Habitual offender’, one year in jail, no probation or parole. Judge can’t shorten the sentence. I know a few cops (one just made city police chief today) that are waiting to catch one of the Pinko’s for speeding or any minor offense. Doesn’t matter, check their criminal history, add the current offense and it’s off to jail. Come on people, more than a few states have this seldom used law on the books.

Pity we still have trials. Big waste of time right Scrapiron?

Maybe the pens and the control of protesters is just practice for Obama’s National Civilian Security Force to control and pen up anyone who disagrees with “The One”

But how could anything bad happen at the coronation of the Messiah? Perhaps there will be a revolt by those who refuse to get on their knees upon the arrival of his holiness at the ball park! But clearly such people should simply be shot, not locked up.

At least our convention chairman hasn’t been forced to resign:
    http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/0508/McCain_convention_chief_quits_after_past_ties_to_Burma_revealed.html

… No one from our own party has called our convention “a funeral”:

“Nobody likes a funeral,” said a Senate Republican press secretary who spoke on the condition of anonymity, citing “the overall climate of general malaise about the party” as the reason for hesitance on the part of Republicans.

    http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0808/12476.html

…We didn’t schedule Cheney (18%) and Bush (27%) to speak on opening night, which has been themed as ‘service’ night.

…We also don’t have our own not attending their convention:

And finally, stun guns are a convention(al) way of life:

You mean like the Democrat Mayor of Detroit out on bond but dis-invited by Obama?

If the Dems were held to the same standards as Republicans, the would be few, if any Dems in office, yet the Mayor of Detroit is still there.. As are several congressional Dems.

And then there’s that little Jesse Jackson issue. That little threat to the messiah’s manhood and presto, no speechifying at the convention for Jesse. Maybe the founders of PUMA will get his slot. Ahhhh, nothing like the sweet smell of unity.

    More from the Politico:

    “Payback? Obama snubs Rangel

The Obama campaign is denying House Ways and Means Chairman Charles B. Rangel a speaking role at this month’s Democratic National Convention — a move those close to the powerhouse Harlem congressman view as a spiteful snub.

Rangel surrogates approached Obama staffers this week about the possibility of securing him a slot at the podium, making the case that it would showcase reconciliation between the nominee and Hillary Rodham Clinton’s African-American supporters.

But they were told that the 78-year-old congressman’s support for Clinton earned him a place at the end of the line behind Barack Obama’s loyalists — even if Rangel played a crucial part in prodding Clinton to abandon her presidential bid in June. ”

    New kind of politics?

BTW, aren’t you going to miss John Edwards?

OOh I wonder if the will have prayer rugs and directions to Mecca there also. I wonder if they will have all the good food they have at club Gitmo also. It just will not have that beach front view though.

With all kidding aside, if you disrupt and cause a riot as the Recreate 68 fools want to do, serves them right and they should be subject to the full force of the law. We are still a country that has laws and if you disobey those laws, you should be held accountable, no matter who you are.

How about all the Dems that are still in power after all their legal woes. There are too many to count that are still in the Senate or House. When a Republican messes up, he is booted, when a Dem messes up it is a resume builder.

  16. Will former NY Governor Elliot Spitzer be in charge of the hospitality room along with Barney Frank?

No doubt that WV Senator Robert Byrd will be trying to shore up the white vote at the KKK Party:
