America Now Known For “Running Away”

Surely he must have meant REDEPLOYMENT instead of “running away.”

“The border has been along this river for 1,000 years,” separatist official Ruslan Kishmaria told AP on Wednesday. He said Georgia would have to accept the new border and taunted the departed Georgian forces by saying they had received “American training in running away.”

article: Abkhazian fighters plant flag inside Georgia

question: Does this mean that “redeployment” is not a deterrent to invasion and other forms of Aggression?

Unfortunately, if Obama gets elected that will become the way the US will operate. When the going gets tough, run.

I don’t know what ever happened to the concept that when you go to war you go in to win. We need more Generals like Patton and politicians like Truman. Kick ass and take names later.

Russia has been watching the American cowards, aka democrats, who have surrendered or ran from every fight for the past several years (since Korea). The are sure that 50% of Americans will no longer fight for their own freedom, much less anyone else’s. It’s been a little slow but the ‘chickens’ are coming home to roost.

    Mike wondered:

‘When did we send Democrats over to Georgia?’

Nice try folks but this is all on GWB’s watch.

You remember. George caught a glimpse of Vladimir’s soul.

    And presumably saw himself.

Can’t imagine why he’d be surprised at the Russian action.

You guys are aware that they are saying this after over seven years of the Bush Administration, right? Bush has been the president for nearly eight years.

I hope someone reminded him that the US cleaned up the mess the Soviets created and then ran from in Afghanistan.

Eh, we’ve been sending democrats overseas for decades… it’s called “study abroad”.

However, it looks like the Left is finally getting their wish, America is slowly becoming held in the same regard that France is around the world.

Interesting they see it that way. I see it as choosing where to fight.

Stick a fork in him, Putin is done.

I am truly sorry for temporarily derailing this thread…just didn’t know where I could interject the story today about Bill Gwatney, Super Delegate to Hillary Clinton, being shot. It seems odd that the MSM isn’t discussing it much on the evening news. My condolences to Mr. Gwatney’s family.

    Here’s an article:

    And, a video from CNN:

O.k., sorry guys! Now back to the regular thread…
