Yesterday I wrote about the Obama campaigns apparent belief that he will soon coroneted as President of the United States. Now today Instapundit believes he is running for President of the entire earth based on this news from Patrick Ruffini:
This is pretty extraordinary. A candidate for the American Presidency is using flyers printed in German to turn people out for his campaign rally in Berlin on Thursday. This flyer can be found on a bilingual page on BarackObama.com advertising the event:
The German flyers bear Obama’s campaign logo and say “Paid for by Obama for America.”
~~~So, this isn’t just some sober, high-minded foreign policy speech, part of a foreign trip occurring under the auspices of his official Senate office. It is a campaign rally occuring on foreign soil. They are using the same tactics to turn out Germans to an event as they would to any rally right here in America.
~~~The sea of Germans drummed up by the Obama campaign will be used as props to tell us Americans how to vote, and the campaign isn’t trying to pretend otherwise. That’s breathtakingly arrogant, and par for the course for Barack Obama.
I’m at a loss to understand this mans arrogance. Popularity for Obama in Europe will do NOTHING for him in the United States. Is it just for the photo op of thousands of adoring Germans groveling over the messiah? Or is it just one huge ego trip?
I’m betting its both.

The intent, I believe, is to placate those that are concerned with America’s standing in the world. The international photo ops will be combined into a commercial to show how Obama has made/will make the world feel good about America again. Of course it is a relatively small constituency that is more concerned with being liked than doing the right thing. As you can see it is already backfiring. Truth is, if America’s standing in the world was so bad then BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover, L’Oreal, Lacoste, Chanel, and the thousands upon thousands of companies conducting business with and within the Unites States would pull out or seek greener pastures. To the millions looking to emigrate to the USA we have not lost our standing. The self flagellationists are woefully ignorant of the current state of affairs outside our borders. Without a frame of reference for compairson they come to the wrong conclusions, just as Obama has done. This tour, and the resulting commercial, will make him look more like a despot than his campaign posters.
Europe’s opinion is a good in indicator of the quality of a man? and how we should vote, not. If France and Germany approve of a candidate in the U.S. the candidate should be banned from any office higher than dog catcher (which is above Hussein’s qualification). Germany and France have a poor record of leaders until they went with conservatives (and Bush supporters) in the last election. Wouldn’t that indicate the the ‘people’ in France and Germany are tired of the left wing, destroy the country, liberals. Then Hussein O has a reputation in the back seat of a car with men that French males like, coke and butt poke.
The only things Europeans know about Obama is what the biased American Press tells them.
The truth is that Obama is no more than another Liberal politician who says what he is told to say by the people who control him. He has no personal knowledge of anything except himself and his ‘principles’ vary with the blowing wind.

The logo does make his speach at a Nazi monument to Nazism legit. Right in line with his civilian security force armed, equipped and funded equal to the Military. Does anyone on the left have a clue. I’ll sell them one for a tank of ‘Peeeloshi’ priced gas.

Actually, I’d say he’s trying to repair what’s left of your llousy reputation. George Bush, the guy you retards voted for TWICE has pretty much ensured that most people on the planet believe that you are a bunch of slack-jawed apes, incapable of even the most rudimentary forms of thought. (Please refer to the current mess your nation is in).
Obama on the other hand appears to be intelligent, thoughtful and well-spoken. The fact that he is addressing the rest of the free world in their own languages is refreshing. Only you goofs would see it as a form of arrogance. You know what’s arrogant? Saying “goodbye from the biggest poluter in the world!” Now that’s arrogant. If you don’t realize it… you’re probably the sort of person who never gets invited to parties because you’re most likely going to shit on the rug or something
BTW… you know how Americans like to think of themselves as “Leaders of the free world”? Maybe Obama should be addressing other nation’s citizens in campaign like ralies, if only to show you goons how he will be received on the world stage. Kind of important no?

America, founded as the un-Europe, has mostly been unpopular since, oh, 1789 or so. Did you just notice?
Yeah, sure, every once in a while we win a war you guys start but can’t finish, and you like that. Well, for a while.
And while we’re lending and giving away piles of money packed higher than the snow in Montreal in Feb, well, we’re less unpopular then too.
And, it is true that we did spend $2.3T constant dollars on NATO since WWII so that the Communists (so very popular in so many European countries) wouldn’t stroll in and take over, well, that was mostly unpopular but you guys did seem to enjoy taking down the Berlin wall, so that is a good thing.
Don’t worry, if we cared what you guys thought we wouldn’t give you cheap drugs subsidized by the American consumer or easy access to world quality healthcare (just head to Buffalo or Seattle, m’kay?).

The Siegessäule is not a Nazi monument, though as with many German icons the Nazis certainly tried to appropriate it for their own ends. It predates Nazism. If it had actually been a Nazi monument it would almost certainly have been torn down after WWII.
Who the hell cares what Europeans or Canadians think of America? Europe is slowly losing the demographic war. When the post popular name for a male in Europe is Muhammad it is nol longer the Europe of old. The Canadians are so wrapped up in political correctness that writing a book about how Europe is becoming Islamic is considered a hate crime. In WWII when we saved Europe from the previous bunch fascists we had the British Empire on our side. Now Europe and Canada tremble at anything that might offend the anyone. The rest of the world has forgotten that freedom isn’t free and hates the US because there are some here who not only remember that but will fight and die for freedom!
