But but but, Mike’sA. Climate change IS happening right now! This AM, in a “global warming” world, it was too cool and too rainy in July for me to mow my lawn. But the sun came out for a couple of hours, and I got it done.

Now it’s changing back to some partial clouds. I do so love the drama of weather!

Are they gonna use the $16 per month to install ice machines or what?

Capitalism has solved more problems, extended life expectancy, made more people’s lives better, brought on more advances for the human race, than the rest of all the clap trap put together.

And what has environmental Marxism done for the human condition … About the same as old style Marxism.

Last I looked the sun was still nestled in it’s hammock, and they are puhing this tripe. Cold resistant crop research would be a far better investment.

has the RATE of climate change ever occurred this fast before ? Has the polar ice cap ever completely melted in recorded history ? (please remember what the definition of “history” is)

  5. Gonna play little word games with the meaning of “recorded” or “history” are you John Ryan? How very Obama of you.

Well, I’m sure even you cannot deny that the Vikings once inhabited what they called “Greenland” which is now mostly ice. And you might have even heard that the Chinese were thought to have visited the North Pole, perhaps even navigating through the arctic ocean to the Atlantic.

And I would dispute your contention that we are seing such a rapid “rate of climate change.” On what factual observation are you basing that?

We have seen incredibly rapid climate shifts in earth’s recorded geologic history. But you probably don’t count that as “history.” Despite that, it is a fact.

Oh dear gawd…I agree w John Ryan?

These people need to solicit the Chinese. They’re the biggest polluters. Hmmm, maybe they should go to Tienaman square and protest? Good idea? Probably not. Why? Oh yeah, ’cause the only people that care about global warming are the Americans/contribution demographic of choice.

Curious, anyone remember reading about the “little ice age”?

Lastly, I wonder how many people are WWF contributors and at the same time oppose the rights of people to bear arms (pun intended) ’cause…in polar bear country….the bears ain’t so snuggle buggle cute when they’re hungry, and they’re always hungry. Yeah, people up N don’t need to own a 454 Weatherby. Nah. I mean, bears are cute and lovable, and once they see that “I gave to the WWF” sticker on your coat…they’ll just leave ya alone. Right?

At certain periods in Earth’s history, the climate was much warmer than it is now… the seas were higher… and that was long before our species even existed. Climate change isn’t caused by human activity. The only thing our species (or any species) can do is adapt to climate change. To believe we can control the forces of nature is vain arrogance on our part.

Ambrose, it’s not vain arrogance. It’s a political marketing tool.

like I said, tell it to the people who are “causing” it

But isn’t this all for the “children”. We need to make a nice little Socialist haven for them to live in where they do not haveto worry about anything.

There have been many times where the climate has changed faster than it has now. Just remember Krakatoa, that changed the entire world’s climate in a year.

Also the Earth at one time was an Iceball, a molten piece of rock, was warmer, was colder, had more CO2, had more nitrogen, lost over 90% of all living things to extinction.

We have not been on this planet for a long time, it has survived many disasters before and will be here long after we are gone. We have less than 200 years of industrialization, and to think we have any kind of effect on the planet is pure arrogance.

How that ‘actress’ could look at the camera with a straight face is beyond me. What a pathetic crock of crap. Not one scientific fact was referenced in the entire piece aimed at the heartstrings of the sheeple. WWF should be sued for that piece of garbage on the basis of spreading terrorism to our “yute”.

At one time the polar ice cap was at what we call the equator. Yes it has melted away before.

I used to watch Home & Garden tv a lot but they’re all so green now it turns me off. Plus I get the impression they are trying to brainwash me. Everywhere I go now I am inundated with this trash. It is very tiresome especially when I know it is the biggest con ever perpertrated on the American people. And, of course, the UN has jumped on this bandwagon. It is an excellent, foolproof way of accumulating money to distribute among its corrupt members.

    BarbaraS,

Are you under the impression that you are getting nothing but unbiased truth on this blog? Nobody can wash your brain if you don’t want them to. It involves going to different sources to get your information and using your common sense, judgement, and reasoning ability to evaluate it. You can do that here and you can do that while listening to the MSM. It’s on you.
