Hang President Bush! But Don’t Mention Obama’s Past Relationships [Reader Post]

Isn’t it illegal to threaten the life of the president?

I mentioned the Massachusetts School of Law and its co-founder and dean, Lawrence Velvel, planning a roundtable meeting to plan the prosecution of President Bush (and others in his administration) with the meeting to be held in September with the ACLU, National Lawyers Guild and Center for Constitutional Rights (communist all) earlier in my news roundup. I knew these nuts existed but the DailyKos minion has provided some interesting comments, some even giggling at the thought of our President dangling at the end of a rope.

Someone should round these vermin up and put them in prison, here’s a few of the comments:

If he can just be pressured to STEP DOWN that will be a sizable victory.
Seeing him dangling from a rope is just too much to hope for.

Nice huh? Wait, there’s more. This bed wetter speaking of VP Cheney:

Yes, the long-term vision is to put him in an undisclosed location for a number of years.
Mojito ergo sum.
by Uniter on Tue Jun 17, 2008 at 09:34:51 AM PDT

And now they are comparing our President and Vice President to a genocidal dictator:

Hey, they didn’t wait too gosh awful long to bring Milosevic to Justice. Too bad he died before he got to stare down the barrels of a firing squad. We should, for this very reason, pray for Cheney’s continued good health. So don’t anybody be thinking about slapping him on the back with a magnet in your palm to short out the pace maker, OK?
The beatings will continue until morale improves.

This one referring to hanging VP Cheney twist the saying, “The Lord works in mysterious ways” to refer to Al Gore!

do we have rope strong enough for his girth?
Gore works in mysterious ways.

I guess no comment section would be complete without comparison of Ted Bundy and our President:

NO WAY! Impeachment is like giving Ted Bundy 30 days in county jail, and then letting him go back home.
(Actually that’s not a great analogy, since Bundy didn’t do 1/1000th the damage Bush and his minions have done.)

Nice huh? When I left there were 327 comments like this. The ones I included only account for appx. the 20 I saw at the top, I couldn’t go on anymore.

From the Cornell University Law School website:

US Code Title 18 Part 1 chapter 41 § 871
(a) Whoever knowingly and willfully deposits for conveyance in the mail or for a delivery from any post office or by any letter carrier any letter, paper, writing, print, missive, or document containing any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States, the President-elect, the Vice President or other officer next in the order of succession to the office of President of the United States, or the Vice President-elect, or knowingly and willfully otherwise makes any such threat against the President, President-elect, Vice President or other officer next in the order of succession to the office of President, or Vice President-elect, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.
(b) The terms “President-elect” and “Vice President-elect” as used in this section shall mean such persons as are the apparent successful candidates for the offices of President and Vice President, respectively, as ascertained from the results of the general elections held to determine the electors of President and Vice President in accordance with title 3, United States Code, sections 1 and 2. The phrase “other officer next in the order of succession to the office of President” as used in this section shall mean the person next in the order of succession to act as President in accordance with title 3, United States Code, sections 19 and 20.

With that said, why isn’t the Secret Service rounding them up by the bus load and enforcing the law? The same reason we allow sanctuary cities?

BE HEARD: CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE AND HOLD THEIR FEET TO THE FIRE NOW!

Could you imagine the fallout if rope and Obama were mentioned in the same sentence by a conservative blog? And he’s not even the President!

The whole sickening and criminal litany is here.

But, he is our Lord and G-D above, Blessed be his name, in Obama’s name we pray, Amen.

    Frustrating as all hell.
It may sound stupid, but I fired off a demand for a response to my reps. I’ll make sure to advise everyone as to the response I get.

I’ll bet we could dedicate a whole blog dedicated to listing the meaningless responses we get from our rep’s.

I guess it makes us feel better. It looks like the drill here, drill now petition has worked though.

If they are talking about dragging him into the streets like Mussolini, then it is illegal. It looks like they are talking about punishment for war crimes using a form of capital punishment that is currently illegal in the United States.

By the way I strongly disagree there should even be war trials for anyone in the Bush adminstration. We need unity not blame.

Buffoon!!! THAT is a GREAT idea!! Make it so! I haven’t thought about that one. We all get the usual form letter responses and how better to expose their lack of real responses than listing them?

Fit fit: well, seeing that no war crimes have been committed, your point is “Rather” moot yet understandable.

    Cool good idea Bufoon.

And Fit Fit if you could actually produce any kind of evidence that the President, VP or anyone in the White House has committed War Crimes, we are all waiting for this evidence.

Well, as long as they’re tried in an international court of some sort, they’ve nothing to fear. Milosevik may have died before his case was finished, but they wouldn’t have done anything to him either. All bark, no bite.

Such people have no idea that talking tough to power or about power isn’t the same as talking about truth

The left can’t stand the fact that there is an honest man willing to stand up for America in the White House. They have never had one and never will.
