We’ve lost a lot of the political and diplomatic momentum we had built up a few years back because of constant efforts by Democrats to undermine our military efforts in Iraq. And of course Nancy Pelosi’s trip to Syria gave the Syrians and Iranians another huge green light forward.

So called “soft power” like diplomacy and economic efforts doesn’t work when Democrats cut the third leg, military power, off the stool and actively encourage rogue states like Syria and Iran with their appeasement rhetoric.

It appears our part in their demise may be written in history… altho not the lib revisionist history books due to the timing, and ignored whistle blowers. The question is, how much is reversible, and are we continuing down that same faulty path today?

Unfortunately the Hezbollah network will remain secure. The Lebanese government is too weak to touch it and we failed to come their aid in any effective way when Hezbollah was running rampant in the streets.

Of course we can expect the world media focus to change when Hezbollah feels strong enough again to attack Israel. Even though the world media failed to put the body of one Lebanese civilian murdered by Hezbollah on the front pages, they will instantly do so when Israel responds to a Hezbollah rocket attack or other provocation.

There was so much hope for Lebanon a few years back and it seems we let it slip away and the Syrians and Iranians are filling the void with their usual bloodthirst and malice.

But maybe Obama can talk them out of it.
