I wish Senator Kennedy & family the best. I know from experience just how devastating cancer is.

As to the other topics discussed in the comments:

It’s easy to wish harm on ones adversaries – political or otherwise, when one considers their motives evil. I rarely see that type of response from conservative sources and often see it from liberal sources. Of course, I have no hard numbers to support either claim, just my own anecdotal experience.

I just consider those I disagree with to be wrong, not evil. Considering that I have been wrong in the past and am sure to be again, I do not want others hating or wishing me harm for it. I try to extend that respect to others as well. No matter how opposed to their beliefs I may be.

And I do not mean to imply that ALL liberal blog enthusiasts resort to the low class behavior you mentioned.

But I do find it interesting that Philly Steve just jumped to the conclusion that somehow he was being singled out for that offensive behavior.

Reminds me of Obama going on the defensive when Bush mentioned the evils of appeasement.

It’s too late for deletion; as soon as we began patting ourselves on the back, we opened this up for derailment. Philly Steve could have been “the bigger man”, and not allow his ego to be baited. Of course, that would mean Steve would actually have to possess class and a sense of propriety.

On news of the topic. The writers of Missy’s link were phophetic. It is all over the news today. One year of steady deterioration is a terrible prospect. Even with all the medical care available, Sen Kennedy faces a very grim prognosis. Again, best wishes to the Kennedy family and his loved ones.
