Speaking of “broken proises”. How is George w. Bush dong on Osama bin laden “dead or alive”? I do not recall even one single Conservative holding him accountable for that one? or, as usual, does President Bush get his automatic Conservative free Pass?

I recall promises of “turning the corner in Iraq” a few times as well. Or was I mistaken?

Weren’t we told that, with a Republican Congress under a fiscally conservative Republican President, pork barrel spending wold end, or be radically reduced in Washington? Maybe it happened and I missed it.

Let’s not pretend that Demcorats or Republicans are innocent of politically motivated promises that they will never keep. I know that of Demcorats. It only appears that Conservatives refuse to admit it about Republicans, since I have yet to see a post here that does not admit Republican malfeasence, unless it involves admitting it AFTER I bring it up.

This site is not a “Conservative” blog. it is just another front for the Republican party, like a lot of the other Republican sponsored blogs we have learned of recently.

Yeah, Sherrod Brown was a tough pill to swallow. A friend of mine ran against him for his House seat back in 04. I was asked to run in his district when he decided to run for Senate, but I turned em down, moved instead, and the drama from the move (it was a major pain in the -), well, my wife asked me not to run. She’d never asked for anything, so I agreed. Maybe in 2010 after redistricting, but I doubt it.

I do need to get a job sometime though. ;p

I was familiar with DeWine from his days in the House. But do agree that his position on a range of issues was not the best. But to vote for SHERROD BROWN? Good grief! That’s almost like voting for Cindy Sheehan.

I had THOUGHT that the Republican candidates had less to offer. Mike DeWine was AWFUL, and in OH17 (Tim Ryan’s district), the RNC never runs a real candidate. This is the Traficant district. We redistrict in 2010. Where I live now, we actually have more representation that Guam and DC. My “City” has two counties, five Congressmen and the two senators. It was Podunk, Ohio forever, but in 1992-96 it boomed. My “city” is actually an incorporation of 4 different villages, and even though I live in the “city” my mailing address is in the next town/”city” over. It’s crazy, but guaranteed to change bigtime in 2010. Neither the Dems nor the Republicans really want the area in the Republican OH16 or the Dem OH17 or any of the other 3 that sneak into the “city.” It’s gonna be more of a fight to see who doesn’t have to deal with it. If Dems hold the state govt, they’ll shed my zone to the Republicans. If Republicans take the state govt, they’ll either try and keep it the way it is or shed it to the Dems in trade for some Dem space in Cleveland.

This time, I’m going to vote against Tim Ryan. His office was rude to me on several occasions, and in the presence of my kids. Long story on that one. Suffice to say he’ll still win. It’s James Traficant’s old district for Pete’s sake.
