Their version of free speech consisted of shouting down people that they did not agree with, courtesy of the SDS. Even the Chancellor's office is infected with this PC crap. Berkeley needs a good boycott to wake up the citizens. The Mayor and the Chief of Police, as well as the City Council needs some Federal Arrest Warrants for obstruction of justice, denying people their civil rights, and a few more charges. They need to be responsible for their actions. And the US Administration needs to be shamed for ignoring such a basic issue as obstruction of the Marines at Berkeley.

They informed me that $100 would be deducted from the 1st week's pay for union dues. I gave them my thoughts on unions and dues and went back to the barracks. A year later I came back from Vietnam to the same departure point and got spit at as we left the terminal.Probably by some of the same anti America Americans as at Berkeley now or their offspring. I made my vow never to spend a dime in California 37 years ago.
