Truer words haven’t been spoken about todays world:

Republicans, on the other hand, seem to recognize today’s threats, face the failures of the past, and whether they fear for tomorrow or not, they seem more willing to deal with the world as it is today rather than succumbing to an empty politician’s promise of, “Just hope with me and vote with me, and everything will be fine.” Senator John McCain may or may not be conservative. He may not know a lot about economics, or be an environmental expert on global warming, etc. However, one thing is clear, John McCain will not ignore threats for 8 years.

The Clintons ignored the threats because it would cost them popularity. It would have cost them polls. And in the end votes.

Bush didn’t wait until he was re-elected, until the campaign was over. He saw the threat we faced and said enough was enough, screw the polls and his high popularity rating went into the doldrums. But true patriots who love this country will do what is necessary to ensure 9/11 doesn’t happen again.
