I think the battle would look more like the early new Iraqi army where bullets flying everywhere. People won’t know the original shooter from the dozens that are shooting. Imagine if it was two gunmen instead of one and so the shooters start shooting each other in the mass confusion. Even the police have trouble. A quarter of of the police that have been shot were shot by other police officers.

The kid that bought at least two of those did not buy them legally like the press said.

At the end of this artical it said he had no known history of mental illness.

This artical says people around him knew he had stopped taking his medication, which from the sound of it was to treat a mental illness (or at least the people linked the stopping of medication to different behavior in the shooter).

This story says the Virginia Tech shooter and this shooter bought the firearms from the same place.

I would have to say that somebody wasn’t doing their job.
1. If this medication was for a mental illness, the information should have been sent so his name could have been put in the data base use for a background check.
2. If his name was in the data base, the seller should have bothered to check the database.
3. So it could have been a doctor, the data base key puncher or the web site that made the error.

If those with a CC permit were allowed to bring their weapon on campus it would eliminate the situation we have now where they are virtually guaranteed to be Free Fire Zones for the perps.

Give me a battle hardened vet of Iraq or Afghanistan with a CC permit and the perp would either be confronted before he could shoot and perhaps stop the whole incident or at least use appropriate force to disable or kill the perp to minimize collateral damage.
