Robx: Given that Hollywood Stars are so used to having their own “cult of personalities” around them, the video you posted was very illuminating on how even they are being drawn into BHO’s empty, yet “charismatic” sway.
Honestly, the comparison to a “cult leader” status isn’t that far off. The many documented cases of people “fainting” in the audience, the tears of adoration that are shed by those we might call his “followers.” Most of those who seem to be most radically enchanted with him are young, or disconnected (which are the same people that cult leaders traditionally target). His legislative achievements are virtually nil, and in spite of his record of being amongst the most radically left-wing in his votes, he somehow still is managing to sell this bi-partisan image.
His speeches are full of high-flying rhetoric, and of course heavily peppered with invocations of “hope” and “change” and little substance. But to pursue ill-defined “change” simply out of a desire to escape the present is the “hope” of the mad.
Perhaps it is the sign of some greater malady within the Democratic Party that they would forsake a legitimate “defined” candidate like Hillary Clinton for the likes of BHO (or just the finger-print of Howard Dean on the party he now chairs).
But, this slavish devotion, this overlooking of anything that comes out of BHO’s mouth; no matter how outrageous, definitely smacks of a cult-like devotion. Of course, very little of offense get to the general public, because the MSM, equally enthralled, always has his back.
Sure, my criticisms of him might be “typical,” but that does not lessen their validity. BHO supporters are quick to break out the race card, and engage in a shrill knee-jerk defense of him; but their justifications ring hollow, and make thin ice to base a Presidential nomination on…

I don’t know about that dems_lie. Thus far, no one has been able to touch Obama, either by using race tinged tactics or saying “Where’s the Beef.” Hillary has tried both and it’s like Obama is coated with Teflon. His supporters are not seeing him rationally and if Hillary can’t get them back down to earth, I don’t see what chance McCain has.

And you know that Obama would not be a Commander in Chief. More likely the Victim in Chief leading the cause of greivancemongers everywhere.

Mike, it is interesting to see this campaign as it goes. I honestly would have liked to see Mitt in the Office. However, as I watch what is going on- I am hoping for Obama to be the nominee. I feel that too many people will go with the no experience of either democratic candidate, however, more women will fall for the victim status that hillary has been working on over the years and many would vote a woman in ( as a woman, I have no problem with a female president- just not a hillary type). However, I think that Obama, ( and I hate to use the race card here) would have a harder time getting many to vote for a black man. I don’t think America is quite ready for a liberal black candidate. He falls in line with jesse jackson and al sharpton– only thing obama is missing is the “rev” title. Mc Cain- though not my first choice– is a better choice given that those that won’t vote for someone listed as the most liberal politician for 2007 and has a race issue will vote for Mc Cain. I hope that those voting in November start seeing the “socialist” theme of the Obama ( or for that matter Clinton) campaign. I would hate to see this country start having the issue of Western Europe.

There is a legitimate reason why people should not blindly vote for Barack Obama. I have been reporting all over the internet since before Obama decided to even run that it can be verified that IL. U.S. Senator Presidential Candidate Barack Obama , IL. U.S. Senator Dick Durbin co-chair Obama 2008 are being complicit in allowing the Illinois Department of Human Rights and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to treat me an American U.S. Hispanic citizen who reported incidents of race discrimination in the state of Illinois in an unequal, biased, & discriminatory manner by preventing me the same race discrimination charges non-Hispanics enjoy as a matter of record and then covering up their conduct. Despite there being ample time for each to respond, redress, and stop the above mentioned serious form of discrimination nothing ,to date, has been done to fairly & fully address, redress,and stop this still ongoing serious form of discrimination which has allowed Hormel Foods Corporation, UFCW, and Target Corporation to not be held accountable for race discrimination against me because I happen to be Hispanic. Inaction ,complicity, & deliberate silence on the part of (for instance but not limited to) Obama and Durbin are responsible for my American civil rights continuing to be violated in Illinois as it relates to this serious form of discrimination in their state of Illinois and for nothing being done to fully & fairly redress and stop this still ongoing form of discrimination against an American who happens to be a Hispanic in Illinois. Hispanics who Know are just showing they will not be willing victims of his “Good Judgement”. He has this still going on in Illinois as we speak but Barack Obama tells Hispanic/Latinos nothing about it! I repeat this is verifiable, ongoing and Barack Obama should address it but does not and you can guess why. Completely agree with the author. It must be cult because I can’t see absolutely nothing worthy of presidency in this Obama man. All I see is a very good pastor/preacher, nothing more. I can listen to him for inspiration, but once he is out of the picture- I completely forget about him. I am totaly shocked to see mass people’s reaction to his messages.
