First it was the LA time hit pieces, then Jeri the trophy wife, then the sea of laziness all over the place, campaign in trouble thus pointing to incompetence, the bad DA stuff, and now this. They will focus on anything except his ideas. He does provide an opening for them by refusing to pander and by having a laconic communication style. I expect the final pre-primary push from the MSM to promote Huckabee. He is godsend for the MSM as he has a lot of appeal in two of the early states, he speaks well, but poses no threat in the general election, and even if he wins it's like having an anti-abortion Hillary for practical purposes. I do think at this point something needs to be done to cement Fred's chances. Fred does well in terms of showcasing his personality in ALL the one-one-one (or with Jeri) talking heads interviews. Various right-leaning talk show hosts have some animosity towards him for various reasons, but they will still talk to him if he wants to. Why not make sure that every single night there's a Fred interview on O'Reilly, Glen Beck, wherever with Fred disproving the meme that he is "anti-social"? If Fred were to constantly hammer these two points: (a) I have the most comprehensive and least flawed set of conservative ideas of anyone running, and with the longest pedigree and (b) all these people who have dissed me in the past relate to me as if I was their best buddy when they finally get to meet me, I don't see how he can lose.

Though I do dislike these restaurant drop-ins. They are always overcrowded and only by being a pushy SOB did I get up front to ask my question and take my pictures in the parking lot.
