I did not see the photo, but if the soldiers were in the "chocolate chip" Iraqi cammo, then they were Iraqis. So you are correct in your last point. Add it to a VERY long list of errors by the MSM.

I never got to serve under him until he was in the position he has now, but heard a lot of good things from those who did. I also got to see that Iraqi Staff General a few times in the Ministry of Defense. You can tell he is a staff general (graduate of their staff college) by the red mark on his rank. He was always very cordial and knew the generals I worked with.
