Fred Thompson On HillaryCare

Outstanding video from Fred Thompson on Hillary Clinton’s latest Socialist move, government run health care:

WASHINGTON – Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday that a mandate requiring every American to purchase health insurance was the only way to achieve universal health care but she rejected the notion of punitive measures to force individuals into the health care system.

"At this point, we don’t have anything punitive that we have proposed," the presidential candidate said in an interview with The Associated Press. "We’re providing incentives and tax credits which we think will be very attractive to the vast majority of Americans."

She said she could envision a day when "you have to show proof to your employer that you’re insured as a part of the job interview — like when your kid goes to school and has to show proof of vaccination," but said such details would be worked out through negotiations with Congress.

Here he is taking a swing at her:

Her vision of a perfect future?  For people to be told "Your papers are NOT in order," you must comply or go straight to the Gulag.

In the end this is just another attempt to ensure Democrat domination by getting more of the poor hooked to a bad system ala welfare, medical, ssi.

Hillary has really thought this one through (lots of sarcasm). So, how does she think those people with pre-existing disease or previous illness are to be insured? My son is a borderline asthmatic. He won’t be able to obtain insurance on his own. And, his coverage on my insurance will end when he reaches 21.

Proof for employment??? Hillary certainly lives in an alternate reality.

I suppose she wants to finish the hatchet job she started back in 1993-94.

It is really sad for America and the West if ANY of the Democrat/socialist candidates become President.

The islamofascists, socialists, anti-Semites, and thugs at the UN will have a party though.

    Interesting company leftists keep.

Edwards has an even worse plan where the checkups are also mandatory. As always with naive authoritarians, their first assumption is that everyone will simply comply with whatever edicts they hand down. The thought that many people aren’t going to cooperate, and that they’re going to need prison sentences, fines, and enforcement officers, doesn’t seem to occur to them until they’re reminded – and even then they often don’t seem to believe it.
