If Chait and TNR were upset and vented their furstration at Kristol, you can bet dollars to donuts that they will react to the possible busting of their “budding Hemingway” with even more vitriol.

This is all part of TNR as “victim”.

The question that TNR is trying to obscure .. who is the victimizer ?

I checked out his AKO account back when he first introduced himself. I found that he was listed as a PV2 and much was made of the fact by others that he had been a PFC but must have been busted to PV2 prior to his journey into journalism.

I checked his AKO information a few days ago. It still lists his unit as 1/18th however his rank is now listed as PV1.

So that, at least to me, answers the question of what punishment he got. Looks like an ART 15, reduction in rank to PV1, and who knows if he got extra duty or loss of any more pay.

Yet TNR still stands behind their man until proven wrong (at least proven wrong in thier books which would mean that Beauchamp would have to have a political conversion to a republican)

It appears from this that Beauchamp got busted down a rank.

I haven’t taken the full time to fact check his post, but he links to things like the story of females being sexually abused in Iraq , which MAY BE the same story that was debunked because some were later shown never to have served there. He also runs with the Haditha story which we all know is falling apart.

But it is in the same vein and trying to push of the poor quality work that TNR has done in a big circle the wagon mood.

Maybe later I will cross check the story on the ladies.

I have reread the post for context over at HP and if the author had spent 1/10th the time doing a fact check on the Beauchamp stories he would have never hung himself out to dry like he did and surely would have never linked his article to defense of Joe Wilson and others he puts into the article as other victims of the vast right wing conspiracy.

You know you got to be striking a cord when even the Huffington Post is going to bat for TNR which could have been almost a templet for the response they did today.
