Very good news. And, remember, this is only a small slice of what’s really happening on the ground. The additional forces have allowed us to step up the tempo of operations considerably, and the enemy hasn’t been able to adjust to that tempo.

The Good News? lol Wow! We’re ‘winning’ in Iraq! So, that means will only be over there for 10 more years? Awesome, by that time it will only have cost us $500 Trillion! Tack that on to the $8.9 Trillion in national debt (nearly $80 Trillion thanks to the welfare state) and I’m sure we’ll be able to pay that back! There’s no doubt the political process in Iraq is difficult and disappointing, but its really no different than here in the USA. At the state and local levels, government runs far more effectively and efficiently than at the federal government. We see in Iraq the same phenominon; government struggling in gridlock at the national level but flourishing at the local levels.

There’s no doubt we are winning the war in Iraq. The political process cannot proceed in Iraq without military presence. Period. So when Dems talk about there being “no military solution”, they’re taking “no military solution” totally out of context. There can be no political progress without military presence and no military solution without political progress.
