The camps in Pakistan emptied within a week of the US passing intelligence to Pakistan detailing the various camps. It looks like the intelligence was somehow passed to the terrorists and they pulled up stakes.

Yeah I don’t think much of DEBKA. Have they been right yet?

One thing though, Musharraf was said to be preparing a state of emergency which would have given him broad powers. Perhaps the camps emptying was in response to that.

Apparently, the U.S. talked Musharraf out of that step as it would have made it impossible for any political reconciliation with former Prime Minister Bhutto.

If it’s true that Pak Intelligence leaked this to the Taliban, that would be a problem. Musharraf should have dealt with that issue a long time ago.

Anyway, huge shame we didn’t strike these bastards one way or the other. Let’s hope our side has a plan B, or maybe they have a plan A and the NY Treason just hasn’t leaked it yet.

Probably a lot here could be AQ and Taliban getting out of their camps to fade in with the locals because of the Pakistan army or air force could hit them like sitting ducks.
