I just don't understand the bellyaching over how long a war/battle is taking to be won. Personally, I'm disturbed by the "September deadline" assessment. For one, General Odierno is probably correct that it's too soon to assess the effects of the surge. Second, our enemies in Iraq (and from Iran and Syria) will make sure that the month of September is a bloodbath to affect outcome of our perceptions of the battle for Iraq, back here at home, and in Washington.
