Still disagree with you SJ as I stated in the earlier post. The level of infiltration in the Democrat party by Soros is way beyond anything the Republican party has seen…

Prior to McCain-Feingold Republicans had a 2-1 advantage in hard money contributions while Democrats bread and butter was the soft money, a large chunk of that from the HUGE AFL-CIO, SEIU and other union organizations…..but now that McCain-Feingold came to be unions couldn’t give that money to Democrats directly anymore so you would think the Democrats would have been against MF. But they weren’t. Many of those who eventually created the Shadow Party understood that using 527 committees could actually put more money into their coffers and could actually steer the party the way these few people wanted it steered. Republicans were WAY behind on those committees….and still are, by a huge amount.

To this day Republicans have never even come close to building the type of network of independent, non-profit fundraising groups that the Democrats have.

Really pathetic – I forgot what I was going to say.

Once upon a time i proudly called myself “conservative”. My views on the world have not changed, save for my opposition to the capitol punishment due to my pro-life position. But – because of the people who have taken over ‘the conservative cause’ I absolutely refuse to call myself “conservative”. I am a Republican. And, right now I am a very angry Republican. I don’t exactly like the fact that “conservatives have been taken over by someone like Sun Myung Moon and his Unification Church. To me he is even worse than George Soros!

The same thing has happened to the GOP. During the later years of the Reagan Administration their take-over began, but really started during the Clinton Administration when Richard Mellon Scaife began pouring millions of dollars into various organizations, due primarily to his adoration of Clinton Conspiricy theories. Richard Viguerie made a deal with Sun Myung Moon, who has slowly infiltrated many “conservative” organizations, also pouring millions into them.

Yesterday’s Pink Flamingo lists the conservative money trail. Once upon a time I called myself “conservative”. I don’t like being manipulated. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I have a list of the conservative organizations Scaife pours millions into, as well as his alliance with John Tanton.

And I would venture a guess that every single one of these “sisters” along with many other groups and individuals that we know and love (code pink, win without war, veterans for peace, etc) all have on particular company in common … their public relations company Fenton Communications.

It all sounded very, very impressive. And then ACT listed its accomplishments at the polls, and the results seemed far less impressive. ACT had “helped ensure George W. Bush’s defeat in several of the key states and made the race close in others.” It had “enabled Democrats to take back the Oregon state legislature for the first time in 10 years.” It had helped Missouri Democrat Robin Carnahan win election as Missouri secretary of state. And finally, “In New Hampshire, we saw wins for the presidential race and the governor’s race, as well as a gain of four state senate seats.”

And that was it. Soros and all his colleagues had spent $200 million to elect a Democratic secretary of state in Missouri.
